Let's be realistic ...Gears 4 looks terrible

The showing yesterday did this game no favors. I wish epic was making this game. How could ms show this off yesterday knowing it looks generic.

Yea cause Halo and Gears are not what they used to be yet Lems are delusional to the point where they think these games still have graphics ahead of its time...

Looked to play like Gears to me....which I am fine with. The acting and dialogue was ehh. I couldn't get a feel for the graphics though since I was streaming on my phone and the quality was off, how did the graphics look?

I thought it looked good. The graphics seemed really good. I was impressed by what I saw. I'm surprised it's getting all the hate here.

Gears was awesome. The only downside the people playing it sucked. They clearly just casuals.

It looked dull to me, especially coming off of Uncharted 4 this year. I've never been a Gears fan though.

I found the stage demo awfully dull/boring.

However nothing beats the stage demo of FF15. Holy shit that was bad.

Still better than Dad of War.

It looked terrible? I am not sure about all of that. I am concerned about the mechanics shown. That two player Last of Us/Uncharted mechanics was very concerning to me. I don't want to play another game in which I have to wait for an AI controlled player to assist me in lifting or moving anything. The rest looked like standard Gears.

Its Gears of War what you looking for a new game? Plenty of other games will feel that need if thats what you like.

Gears of War 4 has crazy weather affects and more destruction and its lot nicer visually. Gears fans loved it and with Horde and the Multiplayer shaping up nicely its a day one purchase for me.

The one liners are also awful. Only reason to even buy this game is to co-op and make fun of the game with friends.

And maybe the MP will have a little bit of fun.

Gears has the best multiplayer experience that alone is worth the price. People playing for the first time will have a hard time. But remember game has a high skill curve. If you're a lazy gamer this may not be the game for you.

I'll be getting it on PC. I'll be fine.

I'm a huge cow and I loved Gears, Gears 4 didn't look bad it just didn't inspire much, I hope it is a great game in the end.

I thought it looked cool and I enjoyed seeing all those atmospheric effects. Very happy to hear horde is back, that's basically my favorite mode I cannot wait to play it.

I've always found the campaigns to be dull outside of the first one.

So long as the MP is good, I'll be happy.

Yes. Gears 4 is 20+ years in the future. JD one of the main characters Marcus is hes father.

I love gears. The gameplay is the same will never be old though. FPS you aim down the sights and shot whats unique about that.

With Gears you can't just aim down a sight and expect to beat an opponent. You have to outsmart your opponent with movement and skill.

I loved the first 2 Gears, and I still own them.

Gears 3 in my opinion was the best one. I played them all since the beginning. Gears takes bit of time to master online but its very rewarding if you stick with it. Gears is fun with friends Horde is great for those people who just want to play and have fun.

this is a AAA title....you werent expecting some sort of innovation or out of the box thinking were you? its more gears. if you want more of that then itll do the job. if you didnt like gears then this probably isnt going to change your mind.

The game did look dated. The textures on the character models look right out of Xbox 360

Not so much the graphics that bothered me. Just the presentation and how boring it looked. That saw blade bs gun was garbage to watch

It didn't show well, the section they chose to show sucked. The game should be better then that though. In terms of visuals as suspected dynamic resolution for xboxone.

The voice acting was awful and campy.

Only good thing was dilf Fenix.

Looked stale to me. I got kind of bored and fell asleep during the long gameplay sequence.

I was completely hyped when I saw kojima's game and very intrigued the whole time.

@loe12k: Gears of War is one game I'm actually going to miss playing. I had a blast with the trilogy! Even when other games like Uncharted and GTA came around, nothing could ever top Gears of War. I wonder if Marcus became like a general after 3. Seeing how old he is in 4, I'd hate to see Anya and the rest. ?

@dynamitecop: I've watched him defend and get hyped for Xbox games for the past couples years. So unless he did a major shift in attitude, I'm not seeing it. He's always been polite from what I've seen as well.

He doesn't do it a lot, but when he does it's not subtle, also he does it a lot in comment sections for articles, he's no "manticore", there's absolute levels of bias in things he says.
