GOD no, barebones and dull in comparison to the Xbox One, at least in my experience.

I find uncharted 4 and horizon coming next year pretty damn exciting. I agree with a few of the panel members from xbox one 2015 review video that the Xbox one is comforting and fun when you get home. Just a simple command and I am off into what I wish be it Netflix, hbo, gaming whatever. It's the central point where as my PS4 is a games console only. Having fun with both but xbox one is on the huge screen in living room.

I'd bet my avatar horizon zero dawn will not be coming out next year.

The PS4 and XO made the WiiU interesting. That's how dull they are.

Since when does Kotaku's opinion matter? This is the second thread in SW about their opinions. Personally I find this gen to be rather slow no matter what console one has.

For you perhaps but in reality you can get Netflix etc on PS4 as well so it's a little disingenuous the way your worded your post. As for voice commands....they suck. They don't always work.

All of this changes when Persona 5 launches next year.

Now apparently the PS4 is unexciting, because game consoles should regularly change OS appearances just for the sake of keeping things interesting. Never mind the games themselves, which must be as terribly boring as the console.

When has a Sony console ever not been boring anyway? Because the PS3 is about as boring as it gets. Rather than gain features, it actually lost features over time and its XMB remains static looking to this very day.

It's unexciting because they didn't have to fix what was broken already.

You already know what you're getting with the ps4, a console with the best versions of multiplats and the widest amount of developer support, including from Japan.

It's really the safest console of them all to purchase.

Yup, pretty spot on. Im still waiting for Sony to give me a reason to get the PS4. Almost bought one over black friday but decided against it. The number of games worth playing now and next year could fit on one hand.

I've used 41.8% of my 5TB hard drive. MCC is only 60GB. I get all my single player multiplats on PC where they look and run better than the PS4.

I never said that the PS4's lineup was barren. I said it didn't have enough games worth playing to justify a purchase to me.
