Knights of the Old Republic - The Greatest of all Time - BC beyond what anyone ever dreamed - sorry only on Xbox

I am replaying it right now on my X and wow what a difference. I didn't think the graphical bump would matter much but I was very wrong. The video I linked is of the S version that also looks great but you can see small jaggies. The X version is just insane!

The graphics are just amazing on my 4K television. There are simply no jaggies, I honestly can't find any. The textures look great, I remember them being blurry when I played it on the original Xbox. The difference really is staggering. I was expecting blurry textures to be quite honest but wow, they look great. It runs smooth as silk, no shimmering no nothing. I know it's not a locked 60 but it just feels so smooth and is a world of a difference from the original Xbox game. And this is just BC which is amazing!

This reminds me of when I first played the 3DS in 3D mode and I thought wow it looks like I am looking at a little world in the palm of my hands that I am interacting with. The graphics here gave me that same impression. It feels like I am looking through the screen at a real world that they created. In other words, they don't look like graphics, they look like a game world that was built for me to interact with.

If you have an X or even an S, I highly recommend you give it a try. I think you will be surprised at how well it holds up and how great it looks. It is in gamepass right now so if you subscribe to that it's already included.

Or you could just play the PC version.

These games were GREAT for their time. The world needs some new ones!

Loved the game back on the original Xbox. Looks great on the Xbox One and wouldn’t mind picking it up again.

I tried KOTOR. The game didn't age well. And imo it's extremly overrated. It's a traditional run of the mill rpg with choices from Bioware. Besides story and dialog choices It doesn't have some mindblowing gameplay.

PC. Also Star Wars booooooo.

Great game when I played it in 2003. It has not aged very well to say the least. It does look nice on the X1X, but I would rather play new games than play games I already played two generations ago. That said, I do like what MS is doing with the bc program on the X1X, it is good stuff that all companies should incorporate on next gen consoles.

The game is only viable for the story, which was excellent. The new rebuild (mod) of it looks glorious.

Amazing game and story, but like most 6th gen games, its mechanics and gameplay aged terribly.

The only old games i still love to play are 2d pixelart ones. 3d gaming is much better now.

One of the best Star Wars games ever made, puts the newer titles to shame.

It's not "traditional" it was the first to use the format and the reason games like Mass Effect existed. Before KOTOR, RPG's wanted to be Baldur's Gate.

KOTOR is a classic, it's a game that was made to wow people with its' story and game play, it was never about graphics. Nothing like making yourself look like a clueless child, well done.

By the way, screw Xbox BC, KOTOR always was and always has been a PC game. If you want to play it, play where it's meant to be played.

I had KOTOR for the original Xbox, but never finished the game. I think I was almost at the end, but got stuck and gave up. It's a nice RPG.

Back in the day, it was phenomenal. Nowadays, the gameplay holds up like shite, and the story twist has been utilized in other games. It's literally playable for the story and characters, but KoTOR 2 has a better selection of characters.

KOTOR's graphics were NEVER amazing even when released against the original PS2...Prime example.

PS2's Final Fantasy XII, now Zodiac age on PS4.

lol at those shitty character models of KOTOR, MS can't even get their remasters to look better than Sony's PS2 games with $500 6TF hardware.

And the gameplay of KOTOR was always broken and wonky crap, I played it on original Xbox and enjoyed it the same way I enjoyed Morrowind Elder Scrolls 3, fun game experiences but gameplay was barely even serviceable.

Played it when it came out on the OG Xbox. I don't care at all about Star Wars but loved the game. Played it again on PC a couple of years ago, I think it still a good game.

Great that MS is doing this.

I like the game.

Still, it wouldn't make a list of my top 20 RPGs - it's too simplistic, too formulaic, and it actively punishes players for trying to roleplay (you either pick 'blue' every time or 'red' every time - mixing it up hurts you in the long run).

I think KOTOR 2 is significantly better, mainly because it tried to tell an interesting story in the Star Wars universe.

I really liked the shorter planets and the stories on those ones. The first planet dragged out way too long. I also thought the twist was fine. Definitely tried to appreciate the game for its time even though I was playing it for the first time this year.

What got me were some of the design choices. Like I was almost immediately regretting I didn't pick the fighter class as soon as I started the game. I also felt like the jedis were the only characters worth using after awhile.

Understand, it's been literally years since i've played the game, but being a Jedi is what was "forced" upon you. It kinda became the go-to, for the twist in the game.

I beat it for the PC...

The best of the KOTOR games. The second one? Might as well watch this instead (without the love for the source material included).

@nintendoboy16: The Orvlille was so surprisingly good for its campness and sci-fi comedy. Not all episodes were up to par, but I felt that the show was pretty damn good throughout.
