nah, they're like kinda funny where they try really hard to be funny but just aren't. they're so incredibly boring and lack any kind of personality.

When you say blanket comments like this that are just factually incorrect, yeahhhhhhhh

They don't try to be funny unless you mean the cringey kyle bosman video game awards 2017, their regular content is absolutely solid, they each have their own unique persona/tastes, and they are funny.

Seriously, you just sound like you're saying random insults hoping that some will stick.

It's very gratifying to see the people from Gametrailers washed up.

They are quite successful with their youtube stuff actually.

Most videos are barely cracking 20,000, in a lot of cases 2,000.

Gametrailers was awful.

Gametrailers was better than ign/gamespot.

Anyway the have a shit ton of patreons and twitch subs, they don't have to make gametrailer success to run cuz they have a much smaller team now.

They all suck, this is true. But the other sites only ignored pc gaming, while Gametrailers purposefully went out of it's way to denounce it.

Na, gaming is better for it.

People need to make up their mind, I thought modern warfare 2 was supposed to be the good call of duty game everyone hypes up.

Also uncharted is massively over hyped.

But yeah, not sure about gamem trailers but that was a big business that had to run like a big business like ign and gamespot, meanwhile they are funded by fans now and dish out quality content like tabletop escapades, their trailers have been solid, etc etc.

Also that video looks like one guy and one trailer over a whole company's life, it's like trying to insult ign and gamespot as a whole based on stuff like "too much water" without it being just a joke meme, what you're doing is essentially overreacting to the too much water meme and acting like it completely ruins those companies.

The original game was a melee focused game, not platformer game, this game is actually adding a lot of the platforming that you're seeing, so it's really the opposite.

God of War isn't devil may cry but it's deeper than most games out there, the main thing that made it easier to master than other hack and slash like the aforementioned devil may cry was due to the fact that you had a much longer range (outside of guns which weren't huge damage weapons)

The game looks sweet and it looks like it'll live up to the rule of game 2 being vastly better and fulfilling what the first game couldn't do. Knack probably was rushed out or something or wasn't as fleshed out as it could cuz it was a release title, ie a tech demo, Knack 2 on the other hand isn't just a tech demo but an actual game.

God of War's shallowness had nothing to do with the distance covered by the blades of chaos lol, do you even play these games?

and yeah that 14 seconds look like some basic ass shit+a parry. These days, even mediocre combat engines have a parry. It looks appealing if you've never played better beat-em ups.

You have a hate boner for sony don't you, you literally make shit up to down on them.

Nope, just a product of actually having good taste and a fucking standard as a product of actually playing games that have depth to them. If you think people findk God of War is shallow because of range, then you don't know what depth is in a beat-em up (or games in general for that matter).

I know that's a difficult concept for your corporate slaves to handle, stick to your jabroni games sport.

If you think god of war is a shallow game outside of having an easier time due to the range of attack, you don't know hack 'n' slash.

Here is a heavily critical view of the god of war series and it's still praising it as a game with depth, just not as much as the best of the genre, more than just about any other game out there, especially nowadays.

God you're so fucking up your ass, I play more niche games than you probably, but you're the one bragging like a douche bag, we get it, you saw a youtube video that trashed on god of war.

God of war 1-3 were a good game, not great, but good, a good game that has a cool world and tons of blood.

If you think god of war is a shallow game outside of having an easier time due to the range of attack, you don't know hack 'n' slash.

The range of attack has nothing to do with why a game like that would lack depth, but sure I'm the one who Master Ninja'd both Ninja Gaiden games, S-ranked DMC3, and has platinums for all his levels on Bayonetta for 360, and put another 30+ hours in that game on the steam release this year. While having ample experience with the likes of Wonderful 101, God Hand, Otogi, Onimusha, and *gasp* God of War 1-3, but you're gonna talk beat-em ups with me lol.

Those games lack depth because they lack interesting interplay between their other mechanics and lack options n meaningful choices in combat (be it for expression or simple challenge) compared to its contemporaries. God of War as a result has more redundant states, because it's rarely anything more than dial-a-combo (IE, the stuff that's actually not the part where Bayonetta gets its depth) systems, and it doesn't help that the game balance is non-existent as you can get away with 3 simple combos with little to no impunity. The range covered by the blades of chaos are what ever, if that was some bench mark, Nero would be looked at as a painfully shallow character in DMC4 thanks to his devil bringer. But he isn't, in fact even if Dante is a deeper character, Nero still has more depth to him than the lion's share of beat-em up characters, even Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden (my favorite game in the genre no less).

If the range was an issue, the lack of depth is a by product of them not creating enemies to counter-act the fact that you do have a weapon with such range. It's why the tail end of DMC4 is an issue even for die-hard DMC fans. It isn't just the part where it's lazy recycling, it's also because the games enemy roster isn't built to really compete with a character as multi-faceted as DMC4 Dante. Where as DMC3 from start to finish is (though becomes broken if you add a style switcher mod)

Once again, you don't know shit about shit. Try again.

Cool to see they didn't just give up on the franchise.

The game has a huge hill to climb though. It's going to have to be spectacular for people to go out and buy it, because the first game ruined the franchise from the start.

If Sony were going to give a franchise a second chance I would prefer The Order 1886 TBH

It looks like fairly standard combat for one of these platformer games that through melee combat in there. Not God of War was deep (it's not, it's shallow), but God of War had a lot more going on than just being bog standard with its base gameplay. And Part of appeal of God of War's combat is the over the top violence and it being cathartic for it, this isn't that, and visually it's far from Pixar and a lot closer to dreamworks.

It looks marginally better than the first game, but will probably be nothing to write home about in a year that's gonna get a new Mario game and has already had things like Hollow Knight as far as platformers. Hope it's good. It's not like Sony's funding another platformer new ip anytime soon.

Tons of people were disappointed when they saw the game play change for god of war, hack n' slash is a big genre. But either way the combat looks solid.

My main argument for the combat is 0:20 - 0:34, heck the combat just looks super fluid as well.

The story goes that because Mark Cerny was busy headlining the PS4 architecture he wasn't able to have enough time with creative input of the first Knack and that's why it sucked.

Once again, you don't know shit about shit. Try again.

So like, you saying you have platinums and shit (with no evidence) is supposed to give you what, an appeal to authority?

1) You haven't proven your claim

2) Even if your claim was proven, it wouldn't strengthen your subjective argument.

Also your second paragraph is just wrong, maybe you should aim to use more than the chains.

Also I've yet to see you prove god of war is the bad game you are touting it as and not simply a lesser game than the absolute master classes of the hack 'n' slash genre, it's certainly more casualized, though you'd be daft if you would say it's an easy game or one that lacks at least some complexity of combat. God of War 1 and 2 were solid games, 3 was lesser but a pretty game and also still good.

Anyway lack meaningful choices in combat? Are you serious? Just looking at the many weapons just for one aspect of it.

Anyway they do create enemies to counter, for example bigger enemies have comparable range to you and stuff like centaur charge in at you, enemies attack at range, etc etc.

Considering nothing you said actually had any value and you're just trashing on god of war either to discredit knack or because it's not quite up to par with top tier hack 'n' slash, nah, you're the one who hasn't actually shown much knowledge when it comes to god of war, questioning even if you've played them.

Come on guys be nice, Sony fans are not really used to gameplay. Heck just look at all the games they are hyping and it is clear all they care about is QTE cinematic scenes. So Knack or anything for that matter looks amazing.

For actual gamers and not the sony type just imagine if you were starving to death and you got a cracker. That would be the best cracker you ever ate. So now you understand how sony fans are. Almost all of their games have very little real gameplay so anytime they see an exclusive with anything that has gameplay of sorts it is the best ever.

Seriously you all you have to remember these Sony fans actually thought Uncharted was top tier combat, ok no laughing. Just remember they are not used to games with actual gameplay.

Lets be real some of their hyped games are God of War where it takes even in the combat videos 10 min to actually fight and even then it looks pretty easy. Or there is Spider Man which tells what button to press the entire time.
