Really loved the demo, was already interested in the game. It's like a Breath of the Wild for the franchise. May be a Day 1 for me!

I am playing it right now it is a lot of fun. I already pre-ordered it.
Definitely up there with Mario Odyssey and BotW as far as franchise revival goes.

You going digital or physical? Amazon has it for $55.

I always pre-order games from my local GameStop

Nice.. I expect them to price match Amazon or Walmart. Walmart sells games in-store for $50. I ordered Forbidden West from Gamestop and they got it to me on launch day at 9am! They're also sending me GT 7 and that is on the way for tomorrow too. There was a glitch yesterday where they were giving a $15 discount on everything on their website lol. I used that on GT 7!
Doesn't look bad, but how much content does this have? Is it one of those games you beat in 5-6h?
that's my main concern as well. I have a feeling it will be short.
How’s the difficulty? I know Kirby games are piss easy in general but the gameplay trailers made it look like a cakewalk even by the franchise’s standards.
@Maroxad: what were you expecting? I thought it was perfect. This is shaping up to be the best Kirby game since Crystal Shards.
@Postosuchus: the “wild mode” is the harder of the two difficulties and it wasn’t that hard. It’s kind of unfair to judge the game off the first couple of levels but I would imagine it’ll be on par with other Kirby titles as far as difficulty goes
@SolidGame_basic: nice, I’ll have to heckle my GameStop on launch day and see if they’ll price match lol
It's a cute little game. Might buy it when I can find it cheaper (I buy second-hand games a lot; I'm cheap). Judging by its art style and the lack of any real challenge in the demo, I think this game is targeted at kids. I don't see this game satisfying the core gamer. I'm not against making a game for kids, it's just not my cup of tea.

Something along the lines of Super Kirby Odyssey.
Don't get me wrong, this was good enough for me to preorder, and I definately agree about it looking like hte best kirby game since Crystal Shards. In fact, this does look like Crystal Shards 3d, right down to the limited flight you can do.
The only flaw I could find in the game, was the invisible walls.
Certain things appeared online saying it is Super Mario World in Kirby form. Confirm or deny.
That's fair to say
The demo did not impress me.
There's the illusion of a free form 3D game here, but so many invisible walls makes for a very set and contrived experienced. It felt about as formulaic as Kirby games get, and I'm already not a fan of the Kirby franchise.
Way too easy, it's like baby's first video game. I know some people here say it's just the first three levels, so it should therefore get more challenging, but Kirby games are notorious for being stupid easy.
I was maybe interested in this game, but not anymore.
just started playing the demo, so far. its fun. Definitely will be picking it up.
Though I wish they could have done a little more with the power ups. Like being able to do different moves, like previous Kirby games, not just a single/double action.
@freedom01: I thought I was missing something, they really just cut down on the amount of moves?
I finally tried the demo and while somewhat entertaining it has several issues. The levels are quite linear despite how they look with invisible walls everywhere, and even on “wild” it’s piss easy. The boss posed no challenge (only first world but still) but was an HP sponge that overstayed it’s welcome by several minutes. The non-enemy powerups get old quickly too and due to the linear nature of the levels they end up being placed just before you’d be using them to get at the “secrets” (which themselves are obvious thanks to the level design).
All in all the lack of difficulty remains this franchises’ biggest problem IMO. They give you all these cool powers (even with a neutered move list) but there’s no real incentive to use anything but the moves that kill enemies the fastest because they pose no threat.
@freedom01: I thought I was missing something, they really just cut down on the amount of moves?
Yeah, previous Kirby games had set amount of moves for different power ups, but on this one its just 1 or 2 (including mid air attacks), maybe 3 if they have a charge attack like the sword. While upgrading the power ups is something nice, I would have enjoyed it more if we were able to try out more than just a one or two moves.

The more I think on it the more I feel this game really isn’t good based on the demo. The levels are so confined with invisible walls the 3D doesn‘t really add anything except camera woes and extra travel time. The scaled down powers and HP sponge bosses mean even more of just spamming the same move until things are dead. And of course there’s the lack of difficulty. Hopefully most of those are tutorial level issues but I‘ll be waiting on reviews and even then certainly won’t be buying at full price.
Demo was indeed fun. Might get the game. As others, I'm a bit worried about the difficulty though. I want the fun of Kirby, but I don't want to buy a game for 60 bucks that I can finish in my sleep and in 5 hours.
Gonna wait to see what reviews say..
At least with Nintendo games they stay full price for years so you could easily sell it and make most of your money back.
