Waiting on the PC version. Looks great, combat especially. It's great to see true action game combat in an open world game. NAPK1NS
This. I have not watched all the coverage to be honest, because I hate spoiling stuff, but the game looks like it has a big world, but is interesting and memorable like Zelda, Crazy skill based action, and tons of loot, It's like they took Fable, Zelda, and TES and made it awesome :P. But maybe I will change my opinion later.

If by Steam you mean Origin, then yes go ahead and do that.(that's just an assumption but the chances of a Steam release seem unlikely to me)
Both the KoA and Darkness demos are pretty decent and worth playing through, unless you hate abnormal amounts of gore, which is what The Darkness II has  I liked the KoA demo though. It will remind people of Fable. Don't know if I'll get it on day one but it seems to be shaping up pretty well.kfjloh darkness is out too! man, the first one was trippy. i have no clue what i was doing half the time lol. there was mobsters, there were snakes attacked to me or some s*** there was a WWII stage for some reason. man that game was great. cant wait to play the demo
[QUOTE="NaveedLife"]but the game looks like it has a big worldBadoshWell, it was once a MMO, so I would hope so.
Reckoning and Copernicus are two seperate entities. 38 Studious is still working on the MMO.

The point is, its a big world, but it looks very unique and varied like Zelda. Some worlds get so big and they feel very random and boring.

It's 60 bucks to boot. That's pretty BS. Especially for an obvious console port. I doubt the PC version will have anything special.
The PC demo is on origin right now, and the darkness 2 demo is on XBL (since MS thinks exclusive demos make sense) so if anyone downloads that tell us how it is.

The Darkness II was a pleasant surprise I have to say.
It may be a bit heavy on the gore, to the point where I think the devs may have a massive fetish for violence, but it's slick and stylish.
The sound effects and voice acting is great, the art style is quite striking and the quad-wielding combat is pretty damn satisfying.
This has moved from my "Meh, Maybe" list to my "Actually, This Seems Pretty Good And I'll Definitely Get It At Some Point, If Not At Launch" list.
I was worried about Starbreeze not being at the helm but honestly, I see this being an 8.0 minimum here with perhaps a few marks deducted for the heavy reliance on on blood and guts.
It releases 24th of Jan for all other platforms as far as I'm aware.
I can't find it on Origin at all. Is it by region or something? The PC demo is on origin right now, and the darkness 2 demo is on XBL (since MS thinks exclusive demos make sense) so if anyone downloads that tell us how it is.

It's basically a better and bigger version of Fable. The combat isn't all THAT skill based. It's combo based, meaning you hit the attack button a bunch of times in a row and your guy does a preset sequence of moves. I would really like to see rpgs get a deeper, more mount & bladish combat system, but this one works.
There's no jump button, except for when you're prompted at a ledge to press A to jump. The open world aspect is open worldish, but not to the extent of an Elder Scrolls game.
All in all, it seems pretty fun. Based on the demo, I'm predicting a personal 8 out of 10, but who knows what tricks the full game will have up its sleeve.

It's under free games. I'm on the international store if that means anything.
