Kingdom Hearts 3 or Resident Evil 2 remake - which IP revival are you more excited for?

KH is at the very top of my list of games I’d least like to play. Just above smash brothers.

RE2 all the way for me.

I don't even consider KH3 to be a revival of anything, but either way, I'm more interested in Resident Evil 2 Remake the most!

Resi2...it certainly is an iconic and legendary sequel.

I’m really hyped about both fairly equally but I don’t consider either of them to be an “IP revival” myself.

I really wanted to try to get into KH because I beat the first one on PS2. But I just don't know if I can get into it. Some of the dialogue makes me cringe.

What will the RE2 remake be like? Are they going to turn it into a different game?

KH3, diddnt really start to enjoy resident evil until 4. 4 is the only resident evil game i liked. KH was a big part of my child hood and in a way got me into more rpg's, I think its funny people hate on the Disney aspect, i find the final fantasy characters more annoying than the Disney characters, i find it to be a unique series and alot of fun, but the story is absurd and makes no fucking sense, day 1 buy tho. ive waited like 13 years for this BS

It's like a RE4-ified RE2 with the survival horror elements intact.

I know how I feel about it, and it's not great. I think it could be fun to play RE2 in the RE4 style, but that remains to be seen. Each game was fun for entirely different reasons, so I don't know how well RE2 is going to translate in that regard. The nostalgia of the locations alone though grabbed my interest, allowing me to explore them in a modern way, pretty cool to see.

Watching some footage though, it makes me think that the reason RE2 was so much fun is going to be largely absent in the remake. And third person over the shoulder gameplay isn't particularly new or fantastical anymore anyways. And considering that RE2 wasn't designed to be a fun shooter...

Low expectations for me, may end up owning on a deep, deep sale. Years from now.

Edit: Also the way the flashlight works is disappointing, too. The Last of Us got that right, was hoping to see it work more like that here, too.

I'm a bit nervous about RE 2 remake. If it's anything like revelations, I will not be happy with it at all.

Why? Revalations 1 was pretty close to the original games.

Yeah good point. I really meant Revelations 2. I couldn't even play 30 minutes of it. It really has an identity crisis as you are saying here.

Definitely Resident Evil 2

When you look back at Resident Evil 2 you realize how quality that game was on its own and how great the game is in the RE franchise.
