According to some weeb who posted translated shit

The quality of this content, is of course the most important aspect. But if it's shit, it's a big shit.

How is it so long? Do they make you watch an episode before each battle? lol

Maybe it takes three episodes to power up big attacks.

Copy and paste quests to give quantity over quality is a very common things with game today. A game may have 100+ hours, but it may be boring and monotonous. If it's good content, I'll play it. If not, then I won't throw money at such negative behavior from developers.

I would not say I am really excited for Kakarot, but it has me interested enough to try it out. Everything looks fine, but I'm honestly tired of playing thru the Z story. Extremely tired of it! FighterZ was smart enough to change things up a bit and for better or worst, Android 21 was the best thing I love about FighterZ and I wish they would've done similar to Kakarot such as swap out Cell for Android 21 for the Cell Tournament would have got me more interest but this whole revisiting Z story is getting too painful.

But in another way, this feels like a true spirit successor to Legacy of Goku/2 on the Gameboy Advance. I feel that gamers that liked Xenoverse titles are going to like this one, gameplay wise, they look really similar but Kakarot gives you more freedom and hey, I did enjoy Xenoverse, I'll be getting this on Steam even though it's Z story all over again lol. If this game was going all the way up to GT era, I would have been hype, it's rare to get GT video games these days now.

@uninspiredcup:

I'm with @DaVillain- on this. The game LOOKS great for an action adventure jrpg in itself. BUT unfortunately for this game, the story it centers on has been told to death millions and zillions of times in other games. The Z story isn't just a dead horse, it's been beaten, amputated, brought back to life and beheaded and chopped to tiny, little pieces and grinded to raw, genetic paste. For that, I expect that it will flop. Not completely flop (considering all the DBZ fans who keep buying games) but flop nonetheless.

I don't think this will flop, Dragonball is too big. But I certainly agree this story has been told over, and over with them latching onto it purely for marketing.

It's very much a tepid wait-and-see.

If it's covering the entire story of DBZ, then that sounds about right. The anime series DBZ Kai (itself condensed from DBZ) is over 60 hours long.

I'll be picking it up, so hopefully it's a decent romp. I'm not expecting all that much out of the game, but it's DBZ.

I'm pretty sure it will have the Ubisoft-esque openworld style where there's a ton of repetitive things to do. Like IDk, collect all the fish, beat up all the dragons etc. Just some mindless time wasters. Not saying it's bad, I like that once in a while.

This game looks as shallow as the rest of the latest DBZ games (with the exception of FightersZ) ... seems it has nothing new nor original that would make this tired franchise interesting ... i can't think in anything worst than spending 40+ hours with this thing.

Considering the direction of most open world games nowadays, it's probably going to be needlessly big, full of boring activities and meaningless content.

Yeah I'm looking forward to this....

Coincidentally I just realized there are a bunch of DBZ brawler/adventure games on GBA.

Does that mean we get the filler episodes?

Because if there's not a Goku and Piccolo in driving school mini-game then this is a no-buy.

This game looks awesome. I've been wanting a DBZ RPG for years. The online fighting games do nothing for me.

I guess I don't mind repetitive as long as it's good repetitive. If the combat is exemplary(which I highly doubt), then it might not be too bad, but the combat could be utter trash. I guess I'll watch some gameplay videos before I jump on this.

They need to just remaster tenkaichi 3 not try to beat that masterpiece.

@ProtossRushX: tenkaichi 3 was only great because of the roster, it had the best roster ever in a dbz game, the mechanics were major cheese tho and nothing was balanced.

Even Burst limit was a better fighting game than tenkaichi 3 mechanically, too bad burst limit had a horrible roster.

If it isnt clear I want a burst limit mechanics dbz game with tenkaichi 3s roster.
