Justify your Console System!

In this topic i want you guys to tell my why you chose the console you own today, and why you like it. If you own more then one tell us about your favorite. If you like them the same then do the same for both.

I want to hear why you puuchased your systems.

Ill go first. I own a 360 because of the great games and awesome onine play. I have a wii for games like mario, and such and so forth.

360 = i convinced a lot of people to get it. halo 3, online, gears of war, mass effect. i could go on...

ps3 = 200 dollars for a game system and 200 dollars for a blu ray player. LBP, Resistance series, killzone 2, infamous, god of war 3, MAG...

DS: Original Castlevania games and Advance wars... if that was all that came out for the system, I'd be happy.

Wii: So far I have 12 games that are all atleast AA quality and very fun, a bunch of downloadable games that are only available for Wii, a bunch of released games I want still but haven't gotten around to buying, and a bunch of stuff on the horizon that looks fantastic.

PC: Not used much for gaming now that I've quit WoW, but with games like Spore, Diablo 3, and Starcraft 2 coming... I will be very happy.

I got my 360 off of one of those free stuff websites (yes they really do work and are not scams), and really enjoyed it as my sole gaming console for a while. Then I got the red ring and thought about getting a PS3. I didn't though and just replaced the 360.

Then I bought a PS3 and didn't play it much as I still had my 360 for most of my gaming. However, my 360 began to scratch my discs and stuff like that so I am playing my PS3 MUCH more now. So much that I don't think I will resubscribe to Live in April of 09.

I also have a gaming PC which can't run the top games at the highest settings but it gets me by. Part of the reason I don't want to pay for live is because when you own other consoles or PC's that can do online for free, it just doesn't seem worth it to pay for it.

So, I would say my favorite is the PS3, it has tons of games that I'm looking forward to and my second favorite is PC becuase free online and fun games that will probably never get old such as CSS, DoD:S, and TF2. This fall I'm planning on getting 5 games and they will be for PS3; Little Big Planet, Fallout 3, and Socom Confrontation. For 360: Gears 2. For PC: Left 4 Dead.

To fanboys everywhere, it is so awesome to be able to get all the systesm awesome games.

Let's see, as far back as I can remember I've always wanted to be a gangster; and I've always had a Sony and a Nintendo console. With the duo, I was able to pick up all the great games and miss out on only a few.

This generation hit and I was a little uneasy about buying a PS3 because I fell into the talk about it. All I was hearing was that it has no games blah blah blah. So I was fully intent on buying a 360. Then I took a deeper look and realized that the Xbox does not appeal to me. I wasn't a online gamer so I thought it was stupid to spend $50 a year for online.. I don't care for Halo at all, and Gears of War, Bioshock and Dead Rising were all that I was into. PS3 just caters to my needs a lot more and with the Wii, I'm not missing out on much. I guess I'm just so used to playing Sony/ Nintendo consoles that I can't imagin buying a 360. Maybe in the future, when they lose the red ring and the price drops a little more. But that's it.

And now that Bioshock is going to PS3 and Dead Rising is going to Wii, I know I made the right choice.

Originally I also bought my 360 for Gears, but now there are tons of games I have (and that I will get, mainly RPGs)

I'll get a PS3 for MGS4 and for White Knight Story (Wow!), when it comes out.

Playstation 3 - Games (eg. Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet and Clank, Little Big Planet, Final Fantasy XIII, etc)

DS - Games (eg.Age of Empires, Pokemon Pearl, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, Club House Games , Final Fantasy IV DS, Dragon Quest 9, etc)

Dreamcast - Games (eg. Shenmue, Sonic Adventure, Jet Grind Radio, Crazy Taxi 1 & 2, RE: Code Veronica)

PSP - 'Cause a friend offered it to me for fifty bucks with three games and three UMD movies. That's not to say there isn't fun to be had (eg MGS PO, Loco Roco, etc), but honestly there haven't been as many titles to interest me compared to other systems.

Wii: I have more then 5 games for it that I like and 5 games at full price equal to the price I paid for the Console which is $250.

I don't have other consoles but I'm getting a PS3 and another 360.
