Neither is pulverising the other, you can argue semantics but when it comes down to it they both have some amazing games - and both have some potentially awesome games in the next few months.
PSP:
GTA Liberty City Stories
SOCOM Fireteam Bravo
Infected
Pursuit Force
Daxter
Pro Evolution Soccer
Gran Turismo Portable
Ghosts N Goblins
Rockman Rockman
Irregular Hunter X
Exit
Devil May Cry
Alot more to be announced at TGS
DS:
Metroid Prime Hunters
Castlevania
Mario Kart
Animal Crossing
Mario & Luigi 2
Katamari Damacy
Super Mario Bros.
Sonic Rush
Phoenix Wright
Alot more to be announced at TGS
Am I the only one glad the competition is so close? In game quality, sales etc. it's practically tic for tac. Real interesting :)

No it isn't.um, i think you forgot about the sega game gear, which was actually the first hand held, to go blow by blow with nintendo. honsetly, as much as i dont wanna admit it.. in a couple of months, the Ds numbers are gonna double even more, trust me on this. what you see in japan is just a sample of what you gonna expect from the Ds in sales world wide
Both handhelds are claimed to be revolutionary in their market, and with the current stalemate, all we can say is that neither company lived up to their word.
PSP is shining simply because it's the fist handheld to contend with Nintendo blow for blow.

PSP:
GTA Liberty City Stories
SOCOM Fireteam Bravo bad
Infected
Pursuit Force good
Daxter good
Pro Evolution Soccer good
Gran Turismo Portable I have my doubts about this. I fear another Midngith Club 3 coming...
Ghosts N Goblins
Rockman Rockman On the fence
Irregular Hunter X If I had a PSP, I'd buy this...
Exit
Devil May Cry Hopefully the controls aren't bad...
Alot more to be announced at TGS
DS:
Metroid Prime Hunters I still am incredulous towards this game
Castlevania I hear good commentary from many sites
Mario Kart
Animal Crossing Hopefully it'll be pretty good
Mario & Luigi 2 Good
Katamari Damacy Still worried about the controls...
Super Mario Bros.Good
Sonic Rush
Phoenix Wright hopefully good...
Alot more to be announced at TGS I expect Lost in Blue to be AA. And yeah, there are some more DS games being shown at the TGS.

of course, folks, this is coming from a fanboy's point of view.
I, for one, am really satisfied with both of my handhelds, thank you very much.
