I'm more excited for the downloadable bargain-priced-but-still-full-game Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown later this year. I understand it'll have even more Virtua Fighter characters than Dead Or Alive 5.

Neither games are on my radar, so meh.

This is old news actually.

My thoughts are that the hard to master Akira is the wrong character to have appear in the reverse and easy to play DOA game honestly. But it's nice to see VF getting some love at least as it is the best 3D fighter series ever. :P

I don't think the two game series mix well though, VF is crazy technical, and DOA is easy to play, fun reversal gameplay...hmmm. I guess we'll see who else shows up. Waiting on the next VF actually.

DoA is crap and 5 won't change that.

Seeing as how Capcom has dropped the ball (and DLC) on every release since SF4 it is hardly surprising. DOA5 really does not have to do much to be better than the turds Capcom keep pushing out.

Fighting games have had a good rebirth over the last few years and it is a shame that Mortal Kombat is so far ahead of the competition right now. Blazblue is great as well but it is a preffered taste. Soul Calibur has been a let down (but still good), Tekken 6 was a big pile of buttocks, Virtua Fighter vanished after 5 and now looks like it is a download game on XBLA and PSN (Meaning it will get no respect in System Wars). SNK just is not the same anymore.

And where in the hell is Darkstalkers and Killer Instinct?

The only thing better than SF X Tekken would be a SF/Tekken/MK game, other than that no it does not have competition.

This crossover is one that I'm looking forward to. I will have LOADS of Crossup Teams in this. Such as:

andor

Lei Fang and Pai Chan or Akira (Akira and Lei Fang both have the Three hit Move around Back Attack, Lei Fang's is a Throw though)

and

Akira and Ein/Hayate (Power Hitters)

and or

Bass and Jeffrey or Wolf

andOr

Kage and Ryu or Ayane (Ayane and Kage Both have the Cannon Drill flying spinning Kick move)

and

Hitomi and Vanessa

and or

Shun and Gen or Brad (Obviously Brad and Shun due to Both using Drunken Boxing)

Oh man, the list goes on.

This may actually get me back into Dead or Alive. The last one I really played was DOA3 on PS2 and it was fun but I skipped 4. Bring on the crossup Sega AM2 and Team Ninja :D
