I think prequels and sequels of awesome games are more than enough to make a year very exciting. :D

2007 gets way too much credit. 98 and 2004 were much better.

Definitely surprised. Darkstalkers and Mass Effect 2 have been awesome, Final Fantasy 13 was somewhat good (but not as awesome as I had hoped) and Just Cause 2 has been a hoot! Looking forward to Blur and Alan Wake!

Mass Effect has been the only outstanding game so far, i would like to add Heavy Rain, but after completeing it i realsied i had zero interest in playing it again.

Replayability is important to me in singleplayer games, but the initial experiance was excellent.

Here's to hoping Halo Reach, Alan Wake and RDR are as good as people are hyping them

Yeah its a decent year for games and I think there will be some stand out titles. "Exciting and quite creepy"? .......... :/ I do think there are alot of games that will be held as classics though.

People forget 2004, a year of awesomeness, full of classics.

Far Cry, Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Riddick, Rome Total War, GTA:SA, MGS3, KOTOR 2, World of Warcraft, Dawn of War, Halo 2,

a lot of these we are still playing today.

And I would say it's the last glorious year of PC games.

Usually the big years have big sequels. Anyway I think there is alot of refreshing content as well. Look at how the year started? Bayonetta, Heavy Rain, Tatsnoko vs Capcom(although yes not really a new IP or new thing but ...shh) Plus we got Alan Wake on the way, Red Dead Redemption looks impressive, LA Noire might make it this year, Modnation racers, 3-D dot game heroes. If we get some superb downloadable games that live upto stuff like Braid or at the least a Shadow Complex. I'll be very happy. Oh and the Wii actually has games that I want to play this year. Mario, Metroid Other M, Sin and Punishment, The Last Story, tatsanoko vs capcom, and I expect some more to be shown over the course of the year.

Mass Effect 2. No More Heroes 2. Darksiders. Bayonetta. God of War 3. Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver. Monster Hunter Tri. Heavy Rain. Final Fantasy XIII. Yeah, it's been great so far.
