Is Singularity most underrated FPS of last gen?

After seeing numerous reviews and hearing lone voices in the wilderness, I've come to the conclusion that Singularity must be the single most underrated FPS of last gen. What is more, it is touted to be one of the best in old school sense of this world. So, SW, what's your take on this game? Is it worth giving a shot? I've heard it's like a combination of Wolfenstein and BioShock, which I find to be awesome in theory...

No but it's definitely underrated

I do think it is the most underrated fps games of last gen. Others I can think of are bulletstorm, Fear 1 and 2, and Mag.

i played that on 360 ages ago, i would get it for pc but it would have to be about 5 bucks.

I can get it for 8 bucks now on 360 - extremely tempted to do so

looks about as "underrated" as Turning Point Fall of Liberty or Legendary

No, those games are frustratingly bad. Singularity was fun.

Totally underrated game. $8 is pretty good I'd go for it, definitely worth it.

Game starts off great, but it quickly nosedives after that. It's pretty run of the mill, but I did like their attempt to bring back environmental puzzles. Stealth segments weren't bad either.

Definitely an interesting FPS. Enjoyed it.

Have to say Metro 2033 and or Metro Last Light being more underrated. My 3rd choice would have to be The Syndicate.

Well, if you buy it and complete it, you can later gift it or sell it and get a part of that money back.

Does your country have access to craigslist or an equivalent? I'd imagine someone has a used copy they would sell to you cheaper, assuming you were willing to meet up with strangers in dark alleys behind the cinema.

Do you still have Syndicate? Fancy some co-op on 360? And yeah - I loved both Metro games. I'd totally love if Microsoft gave 2033 for free next month!

Hard Reset/Shadow Warrior

Maybe. It's good enough I've played through it multiple times when I should be working on my increasing backlog.

Underrated in what sense? Metascore? it's probably right, just because the other scores are inflated, doesn't mean this game should.

In terms of how the game is completely overlooked? ehh sure, but I'd rather give that edge to something like Hard Reset or Tribes Ascend.

I know it's common knowledge that you're wrong like 99.9% of the time and it should just be accepted as a normality of life but I still have to point out that you're wrong. Hard Reset was boring as hell. Game didn't have no story. didn't make no attempts at having these things called "pacing" or a "plot" or had any idea of these other things called "in moderation" or "small doses". Just nothin but shootin, and the shootin wasn't even all that great. Only played a little bit of Tribes and it was just alright. Nah Singularity whoops the shit outta both. Had better gameplay, pacing, and a legit decent story.

I would argue that Singularity is the sequel that Bioshock deserved, but not the one that it needed at the time.

At one point, like 4 years ago Gamestop had this game brand new for $9.99 and i didn't buy it while always wanting to try it

Not for me. It was a fun enough game but it was so generic and felt like a budget title you'd get from steam. I'd recommend getting it, but only cheap.

I wouldn't say it is the most under-rated, but it sure was up there. It really was a great game that didn't get a lot of attention.

Beat it, its awesome. Only complaint is that the difficulty doesn't increase the further you get into the game. It's a breeze nearing the end. Other than that, its fantastic.

It is severely underrated.
