Is Rayman a better series than Sonic

@Dark_sageX: I agree with that as well. The only comparable games to Sonic are other Yuji Naka works like NiGHTS into Dreams and Rodea the Sky Soldier (original Wii version), as well as games that are heavily inspired by it such as Freedom Planet, which was initially conceived as a Sonic fan project. Rayman is a standard platformer, and reminds me of Donkey Kong, if anything.

I know Rayman is a great series, and maybe I'd feel different if I got more into it, but gotta go with Sonic the speedy hedgehog.

I pick Sonic for the 90's and Rayman for the 00's onward.

Sonic 2 is best.

Did anyone actually play Rayman 2 the day it was out on Dreamcast? That game in particular was the Sonicslayer for me. Best action game since Mario 64.

And for modern, Rayman Legends is the best platformer there is right now imho. I slept on it for a good year or two but it is so damn good.

I've always preferred Rayman over Sonic. Even though I grew up playing the two.

Both are just ok in my opinion. Don't really favor one over the other. I much prefer 2D Mario games.

I like Sonic, even more than Rayman, but I've never played a bad Rayman game, that last one I beat, the Legends was really good.

Option 3: they both suck and there are a million better platformers out there!

In what way makes Rayman Origins and Legends bad platformers?

The new rayman games are really good and the music is awesome.

Legends was very good but I enjoyed generations and mania more but maybe sonic is more nostalgic for me.
