This thread won't last long... That being said, it's way better now you can download titles. Still, I have no experience other than gaming news.

I do know PS Now for March is getting Control, my personal favorite game of 2019 and part of my top 10 games of 2019 to boot. Again, Control is great. PS Now is still a grossly overpriced though. PS Now is better than it was, certainly. But, it is still vastly overpriced and to me, at least. If it was bundled in with PS+, it would be so much more appealing to the average consumer.

Is it bad? If the overprice doesn't get to you, then the answer is no.

It has more consumers and makes more money than gamepass. That is a fact.

Despite what the guy before me says, it’s a success and continues to get better.

Depends, if you ask in the context of exclusivity all the cows will say it is horrible and noone wants to stream games. If you ask if its more successfull than e.g. game pass will say it is the greatest thing ever, sooo maybe?

@ajstyles: Wow, didn't take long for you to bring xbox into a ps conversation did it?

The question is, is psnow good? ...not how many subscribers it has compared to gamepass.

It's up to 720p and 30 FPS in 2020. It also put users in queues to play. That's all you need to know.

Seems like it will transition to be Sony's GamePass, so not bad, could get better. Though, I take more issue that local play BC was ignored to push this streaming service. I feel Sony could have had something great if they would have carried over the PS3's PS1/PS2 classics catalog over to PS4, honored purchases and continued to expand the library. In ways, it is like the frustration I feel over Nintendo's lack of BC on Switch, them not honoring BC games purchases on the Wii, Wii U and 3DS, and them trickling out crap as part of their paid online service.

@sealionact: Yes. PSNow is GREAT. Xbox gamepass is “okay”.

What more do you need to know?

PSNow has more and better games.

Xbox Gamepass has less game selection and a couple games worth playing. Most are bad indies.

@davillain-: "PS Now is still a grossly overpriced though"

Is it cheaper to just get a PS3?

My biggest complain with PS Now is that you can't buy a full year in advance (can you?) and i usually buy PS Plus whole year at the holiday season big disscount ... however, if i can get a decent deal out of PS Now, i would definitely try it.

I wouldn't know, but for me it's pointless because I keep my PS games and would never need the service, personally.

If you've been a long-time PS Plus subscriber, probably not. However, if you are a late adopter or you just never picked up a big library of games, I think it's worth it. I've used it for 3 months, And with that I've played God of War, Fallout 4, City Skylines, Control, and a bunch of smaller indie games. For the $30 I've spent to get that I'm more than satisfied.

Streaming-wise, it is plagued by the same primary drawback as other offerings: input delay and signal disruption. Where local download is available, it’s not a bad offering, but that’s not really what the service is designated to do (it overlaps in many ways with PS+, meaning you will likely see consolidation at some point).
