Now, I don't doubt that Halo 5 sold pretty well, but remember how Microsoft didn't want to announce any concrete sales numbers?

It's pretty convenient if you think about it, since they haven't given us sales numbers, they can say whatever the fudge they want, they can boldly lie trough their teeth on their own E3 Xbox page, and no one will know any better.

Could be, it depends if they're saying they sold more than CoD: AW and how much that sold in 2015. There's also Minecraft missing from MS' list, but who knows.

They are saying best selling console game, while your NPD ranking is with PC sales... I wouldn't be surprised if Halo 5 would take the place of CoD: AW.

A lot of MS's listed games are also on PC, not to mention that it's highly doubtful that CoD:AW sold a considerable amount on PC, especially when the game was already a year old.

It's probably selective stats that support their claim however who cares it's marketing and Microsoft isn't the only corporation that uses this tactic and it isn't just exclusive to video games its used everywhere.

If you can come with concrete proof of a list of top 10 selling games in the whole world (not just NPD, America) on CONSOLES, and that isn't the same as Microsoft's list, then you have something to say. That's just not the case currently, you don't have anything to back up your statement, so this whole topic is completely useless.

NPD is not the World and NPD only counts sales at retail.

It just for the year 2015. How are they lying one of devs just recently said they hit 5 million after 3 months. And he only gave the number because someone on Neogaf was saying Halo 5 sold crap. So MS is not lying we have numbers 5 million+

I dunno, PS4 has the higher selling games, better looking games, better running games, better scoring games, the Japanese support and something that the Xbox brand only knows from memories, exclusives. Seems pretty neat for the PS4 folks. :P

Except that goes for every game on the list and Halo doesn't really get any exclusive rights to those things. Also Halo doesn't produce any significant numbers outside the US to begin with.

Any argument for worldwide or digital sales would mirror the numbers we see for retail NDP #s. I don't know why lemmings think WW numbers is a valid defense for NDP with Halo when the US is it's main market. Halo is almost nonexistent outside the us.

Numbers are not going to suddenly flip flop in favor of Halo by adding digital or WW numbers, that's a pointless argument that has no support to back it up.

You have know idea what sales are like outside the United States? Halo topped the UK charts when it launched. Anyone with a brain knows the UK is a huge market for gaming probably biggermarket then Europe. Sony and MS call the UK Europe
