Poll Is it time for Rayman to go back to 3D? (17 votes)
Rayman is a video game.
The original title started out as 2D, surpringly, became the best selling PS1 game in the UK. Outselling the likes of Tomb Raider and Gran Turismo.
It quickly made the jump to 3D with Rayman 2, ported to many systems (PS1 being inferior), followed up by Rayman 3.
While Sonic lost his dignity, like heroin riddled prostitute willing to do anything for the next hit, Ubisoft put the main series away. It sat in status. Frozen in time. 8+ years later returning with the poorly selling, but critical darling Rayman Origins. Then a follow up with Rayman: Legend, slightly better selling and also a critical darling.
Should this trend of 2D style platforming continue, or it is time to make a jump to 3D? Or would it end up shit like, more or less all 3D Ubisoft games currently?
