Is it time for Nintendo to start making things other then consoles?

I dont mean to say they should stop making consoles altogether but as of now, they rely completely on their consoles whereas Sony and MS makes other eletronics. If Nintendo consoles fail, they havent got other products to turn to. Not to mention, they might want to be more rich :P I'm getting this message short because I am more intrested in what you guys have to say. I reckon maybe they should invest in making a smart phone. I'm not sure if they have made any other electronics, please inform me if they have.

They should make cars. Nintendium would protect everyone. Make some bulletproof vests out of it as well.

They make games... they do well enough.

They already make toys, that's what they did wayyy before they even made video games.

In that case maybe they should go back to Taxi service
