Nope. I'm going to say that Hytale will be the best game of 2019, with a respectable 2nd/3rd place to Mario Maker 2 and Dragon Quest Builders 2. (I love me some building games!)

Never stop believing. I played a Starship Troopers wave shooter mod for HL2 a few months ago that was infinitely more fun than DOOM 2016 wave shooter was.
theres few and far problem with Doom 2016 as arena lockdown but it wont be in Eternal. however the gameplay mechanics are far far above any FPS ever made. gameplaywise Doom 2016 blow HL2 out of water and i consider HL2 as one of the all time best.
I thought arena lockdown was a great thing, weird they are removing that. Zipping around the arenas trying to find stuff while at the same time avoiding/killing enemies was perfect. Not sure if being able to run through sections will do much good for the game.

arena lockdown work for few hour then get repetetive. and it was biggest issue in Doom 2016 otherwise entire game is masterpiece.
