Is Capcom once again a top 10 publisher/ developer

I agree for the most part except for DLC practices. The swappable soundtrack for RE2 should've been included with the game.

Capcom are definitely on track again after a period of mismanagement.

Yes. If they can manage their dlc better they will definitely be on my top 3 this gen.

Even when they made stupid choices like dissolving studios and letting talent go, they were still one of the best (although namco squarely took over).

Outside Street Fighter, they've done nothing but amazing work.

I was hyping street fighter 5 around here and yeah

Capcom has gotten a lot better now. I mean they finally released games that their fans wanted in a long time now such as Mega Man 11, proper horror Resident Evil games such as 7 and 2 remake, and soon Devil May Cry 5. I mean before we haven't had any Mega Man games in a long time, the Resident Evil games that played more like Call Of Duty instead of a proper survival horror, and that Devil May Cry game from Ninja Theory that fans never asked for. I'm glad that they finally listened to the fans and gave them the games that they wanted for years.

A hit and miss. Recently, they're doing good. Top 10, though? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not.

Capcom's on a roll again. If they give me another Darkstalkers game, I will worship them forever.

Doing good, need another Lost Planet with campaign co-op.

Cap has been top 3 dev in my eyes for a loooong time.

Monster Hunter / Street Fighter / Resident Evil are games I look forward to more than most.

Capcom made a few bad games and mistakes but they learned their listen so far as it seems. They have made one hell of a come back.

They were always one of my top favourites and still are.

All they have to do is announce Mega Man Legends 3 and they will be number 1.

I think they are really turning around and giving loads of great stuff. If they didn't nickle and dine us who play sfv and announce Mega Man X9 and Viewtiful Joe 3 and Power Stone 3 I'd be extremely happy.

I think they've been pretty good pretty much always. They release some great stuff, some crappy stuff. Pretty normal for a big developer.

They are one of the few big publishers that are releasing games that interest me in the last few years, so I would definitely say yes. I'd go even further and probably even put them in the top 5.

Now let us all pray for Konami and hope that they will someday make a comeback as well.

@storm_of_swords: Agreed. Capcom is top 5 for me. They've made quite a comeback since their Crapcon days.

As for Konami, they're making a lot of cash from mobile games and Yu-Gi-Oh cards, so there's no incentive for them to come back to AAA gaming. But you never know.

I don't think so, but they can still deliver quality titles, just not as fast as bigger developers/publishers, but goes to show they're much better off taking a slow approach to get it right.

At least they were for me last year and so far this year. Monster Hunter World is probably my game of the rolling year; Red Dead 2 almost took the crown, but I got back heavily into MH after putting 200 hours into Red Dead.

I would say capcom is going in the right direction. Finally making fun games again and giving fans what they want.

Now if only blizzard could start going in the same direction as capcom!
