There is a massive tendency to suck off Nintendo (along with the likes of Kojima and Naughty Dog) because they are established and expected to be good. Bit of a hive-mind mentality. Metal Gear Solid 4 being deemed a "masterpiece" possibly being the most embarrassing thing since Hitler won man of the year.
(and yes that happened)
I enjoyed it alot, but I think a game like Arkham Knight is generally better. Talking of overrated, that game is massively underrated.
