Insider: Uncharted on PS4 To Have Gameplay = TLOU cutscenes

Impressed with The Order: 1886 and how it shows off the PS4′s power despite being so early in development? Then you’ll be getting a kick out of Naughty Dog’s next Uncharted when it arrives.

Industry insider Ahsan Rasheed, who goes by the handle “thuway” on NeoGAF, recently tweeted about how the “Next Uncharted will have fidelity in gameplay that is comparable to cutscenes in The Last Of Us.” It also seems that there’s “Something also about a boat.”

Vehicular sections in speedboats? We’ll have to wait for more information but considering the already impressive fidelity of The Last of Us’s cinematics, this is some truly startling news.

But that’s not all. Rasheed also tweeted about how “It’s safe to say the PS4 has approximately a 100 percent performance overhead over the Xbox One. 100 percent.”

Do you agree with the above? Given the number of games that are failing to reach1080p resolution on the Xbox One – either due to eSRAM or something else – it’s certainly possible that the PS4 is much more powerful. But a 100 percent overhead? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Thats disappointing. TLOU wasn't a very impressive looking game graphically.

I'll say what I said in the previous thread: The guy is a joke of an "insider".

Stating that Uncharted 4 will look nice is NOT juicy information.

TLOU had the best graphics on last-gen consoles. In fact, it's highly possible that the Xbone would struggle to run PS3's TLOU much better than the PS3.

And the guy said that the gameplay graphics would be comparable to TLOU cutscenes, not TLOU gameplay.

The in-engine cutscenes had much better AA, textures, and model detail, and movement.

like I said in the other thread this is probably early doors and with Uncharted rumoured to be 2014 and probably 2015 they'll probably surpass TLOU easily by the time it's out. Or at least I hope they do, The Order is stomping everything currently it's going to be interesting with internal competition with Sony first party.

Just like there are sites that claim KZ: SF have the best visuals for "consoles" atm. All we know is that KZ does run in a 1080p resolution at a locked 30fps, and even see 60fps in multiplayer.

Honestly we already knew what they can do in terms of visual fidelity but what other innovations can they bring to change up or spice up the gameplay

I seem to recall sony saying they'd have less shooters this gen... They already released Killzone and now the Order 1886 and Uncharted 4 are coming out (both of which seem extremely similar in goal and gameplay so far)... I want to see that variety Sony. And for God's sake, make an effort with the gameplay this gen. It was mostly pretty mediocre last gen with very few exceptions.

Difference is Enslaved is really unique and interesting, but yeah it is shallow gameplay. I love the art, characters and music a lot.

Uncharted is just Indiana jones 1 2 3 4

Omg....I cannot wait for Uncharted 4. Literally my favorite game series of all time.

Excellent. Naughty Dog has shown that, if you want goty and gotg titles, you need to combine great gameplay and cinematic experience. Other devs should take note. The days of only gameplay mattering are over.

The focus on gfx has become very annoying and pathetic.

The Order gameplay already looks better than TLOU cutscenes... one would expect ND to go even further than that ._.

Well, we all buy new hardware to see better graphics. If you're expecting big changes when it comes to gameplay, you're out of luck... There is not really much room to improve... even indie games base upon itselves in well established IPs with a couple of twists here and there...

Yeah I would hate more 90+ metascore Uncharted games. They were just terrible...

I definitely want to see new tweaks to gameplay, but Uncharted 2 and 3(to a slightly lesser extent) were amazing games.

If cows are denial about that, then what do call lems spin of all multiplats being superior on PS4? Hell lems have can Ryse as every one already knows Xflop is interior and one tech demo that have ran sub-30fps to just to achieve graphics that were still technically inferior to Killzone Shadow Fall is pretty said.
