Infamous more hyped than Titanfall?

Infamous second son, might secretly be the most hyped game as of right now.

With the recent TV spot amassing to over 3million views, which may not sound much, but that is more then any titanfall video has ever received.

Even a google search for infamous second son will have double the results as titanfall.

So with infamous ahead in youtube and google trends, where exactly is titanfall winning? as of right now, nothing. Even the Infamous Second Son PS4 bundle is outselling the Titanfall XB1 bundle, despite it costing more.

TitanFall won't sell more than Infamous, that's a given.

As for hype TitanFall had less than Infamous.

Titanfall will sell more, as it's on 3 platforms, but Infamous on PS4 should outsell Titanfall on XB1 quite easily.

Who hyped Call of Duty these days? I think that even casuals are tired of it. Of course infamous gets more hype, it looks next gen and is open world also the first true quality ps4 exclusive while the first X1 exclusive is wut? Halo 5 set for 2015? yay.

Yep. Lems and herms can deny and cry, but Infamous is the most hyped. Youtube vieww outnumber titancod, as well as infamous bundles outselling titanfall bundles at gamestop.

On the contrary, a more valid source would be average users between videos. Total users of a single video amounts to lackluster evidence. Also, you need to prove your Google search point, along with providing the exact search options that you utilize.

The contents of the google search doesn't even have to matter, because a search for Infamous second son has over 35m results, while titanfall has around 17m votes, so even if you take away the dead weight, the lead is still far to much, and the Infamous bundle is outselling the Titanfall bundle.

I feel I need to help... You must provide coverage across the majority of sources, in order to prove "hype." You must present that evidence, with a reasoned explanation. Youtube viewer count is not the single indicator of hype... You are categorizing your own evidence to serve your point.

But, i don't need to go to that extent, because the little proof i have is enough, i mean. The only evidence you could show that would prove otherwise, is amazon rankings. Which tends to fluctuate and it's rarely updated.

@jeffmonster: they're not the same game and or genre, and many people did like infamous the second rubbed many the wrong way and I can see how story wise but aside from that they can still take the franchise places and on a new platform we can see if it will be good or not, either it may good or bad but we have to wait and see is all.

Titan fall has been overly hyped a couple months shy of a year (starting at e3 with 100+ awards lol). Infamous probably overly hyped last 3 or 4 months tops? So I would respectfully disagree sir... (especially with people hyping titanfall to change the game of fps, LOL yea right)

Considering SW doesn't equate to the rest of the world and neither does that site (not to mention that gamefaqs obviously isn't GS), and an internet poll isn't any real test of quality, I'm failing to see your point.

Word on the street and in shops generally favour Titanfall. But well we shall see week 1 sales figures of both games.

Honestly hype rage is stupid, it creates expectations for people, which at pre launch is unwarranted..

Many games that looked great pre launch failed to live up to the fans expectations, e.g Lightning returns, Thief, Castlevania: LOS2.

By the way the way I see it, Infamous might have strong opening but then it'll take a nosedive rather quickly. Titanfall will have tremendous longevity, though.

Titanfall's hype is fake media hype/SW hype. I don't hear anyone talking about in real life, all I hear is people talking about PS4s sold out everywhere and how they want one. COD and BF still dominate most FPS gamers' conversations (COD especially). Titanfall will sell good but it won't be a game changer, COD will still remain more popular and I won't be surprised if Infamous outsells it due to PS4 being the more popular console this gen.

So every gaming site loving Titanfall is fake but Infamous being the real deal is legit? The Titanfall beta pretty much locked up huge sales numbers between the PC and Xbox One users. Infamous looks great but nobody has touched the game outside of trade shows. I don't know how you think the Infamous hype is bigger than the Titanfall hype. Oh wait yes I do. Mooooooooooooo

Cry some more if you want. It is what it is. I was in the beta and while I enjoyed it, it didn't convince me to spend $60 on it due to the fact that it's an MP only game. I'm guessing most gamers are like me in this regard, it's a good game but it isn't good enough to make everyone abandon everything and drop money on Xbones. Hence the reason why Infamous bundle is outselling the Titanfall bundle. Titanfall is good but not good enough to make most people overlook the fail that is the Xbone. The fake media hype surrounding the game will ensure it sells well but it won't save the Xbone or give it an edge over the PS4.

Im warning lems right now, titanfall is not going to live up to hype commercially or critically and infamous will commercially perform alot better than most are expecting. Im seeing more infamous ads than titanfall now which is abit weird but shows sony are going to market this game. Dont be suprised if infamous sales are close to titanfall

Personally, I don't care: I liked the Titanfall beta on PC and will (later) be getting also the full game for this platform. Same for InFamous SS: I might likely rent the game before purchasing it (waiting for a price drop) but in any case: no need for Xbox One (hype) in all this...

We all know Titanfall is manufactured media hype in an attempt to save the catastrophe that is the XboxOne.

I'm appalled by this puritan thinking about why would people hype the X1 version of Titanfall - we've already witnessed situations when huge PC franchises that

were about to have their first console installment ended up outselling their PC counterparts by a huge margin.

The third installment of a franchise is more anticipated than a new ip. Is this supposed to be unexpected?

Look at this list. It's dominated by sequels. I'm not familiar with all these titles but it seems like Titanfall is the only new ip here. For a new ip to be at 9% is quite amazing.

Titanfall could very likely outsell all those games on Xbone alone. Reviews and word of mouth is what will drive sales.
