I'm HIGHLY disappointed in Platinum for putting Bayonetta 3 only on Nintendo's handheld the Switch!

Why Platinum is not making Bayonetta 3 for ALL platforms? Did Nintendo send Platinum a BIG MONEY HAT?! Filled with MUSHROOMS?!! AGAIN?! Bayonetta 2 sold POORLY in Japan too! Oh! I should just go out and pay for that OVER-PRICED Handheld and a SD card too! To play Bayonetta 3!.... NOI!!!! When Nintendo decides to MAKE A CONSOLE ( Not a handheld that decks with your TV! ) that has specs on the same level as the Next Xbox and PlayStation 5. I'll buy it! But if their next-gen CONSOLE is just as powerful as the based Xbox One & PS4?! Nintendo will never see my MONEY again! I love playing Bayonetta on my Xbox360! Sad that Bayonetta 2 was Wii-U only! I was planning on buying Bayonetta again on PC. But seeing as Bayonetta 3 is only coming to the Switch.. I'll just get Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition! Now! Platinum won't see my MONEY TOO!!

I don't know what the circumstances are with Bayonetta 3 that led to its exclusivity on the Nintendo Switch. We have all heard the story of how Bayonetta 2 failed to establish funding from a publisher to complete development and that's when Nintendo stepped in and promised to fund and publish the game, hence its exclusivity for the Wii U.

Bayonetta 2 was too good a game to remain exclusive on Wii U. I'm glad the game is being brought to the Switch. Again, I'm not sure what the circumstances are regarding this franchise going forward and the relationship it has with Nintendo, but it appears as though new Bayonetta games will have a home on Nintendo platforms moving forward. I'm sorry if that means you won't get to play them because you are not interested in the platform. :(

IIRC, they started the development as a multiplat but ran out of money. Nobody but Nintendo wanted to fund the game.

Nintendo paid for exclusivity, basically it’s fair game. Each company gets their own third party exclusives. Bayo is a pretty damn good one to have.

So Bayonetta 1, 2 and 3 are all going to be on the Switch. Even more domination for those that like it (I personally find them cringy).

Yet another Win for the Switch, Bayonetta 2 will be new to many people.

Nintendo has tons of franchises to fill the gaps between big exclusive releases, the fact that people want thier games on the go also adds value.

Hell, I'd be happy with a Mario Maker 1.5 with local multiplayer and more features and touch screen functionality.

Heh....... I would have liked Cuphead and Ori series on PS4 or Switch but I'm not being a crybaby about it. smh

I have a few points you need to understand:

1. Bayonetta 2 and 3 would not be happening if not for Nintendo. They see Bayonetta as an opportunity to get a mature rated exclusive game on their platform. So they fund the project.

2. Sales of Bayonetta 1/2 and 3 on Switch will truly determine the future of the franchise. They can blame WiiU sales for a lack of Bayonetta 2 commercial success. If we're not seeing atleast half a million in sales numbers with those games I don't think the franchise will continue.

3. Did you say the same thing when Street Fighter 5 went exclusively to PS4? Or when Rise of the Tomb Raider came out on Xbox One first? It's the same principle- originally multiplat game goes to the people handing over the $$$.

4. Get a Switch. It's got some must-owns already. Worth your money, and then you'll have the entire Bayonetta franchise on one platform.

Then you will just have to miss out TC, why are you blaming Nintendo? why not blame MS or Sony for not putting up the money to fund its development?..... remember the history & facts SEGA cancelled/dropped Bayonetta 2, it only exist because Nintendo funded its development...& now with Bayonetta 3 is probably the same...Nintendo funded it. :P

It looks like Bayonetta is now part of Nintendo characters family now. That much is certain.

What do you expect? Nobody else wanted to fund the game, INCLUDING Sony. The series lives on only because Nintendo supported and believed in the game when everyone else didn't. So they deserve to own it.

But seriously, they didn't moneyhat it; they paid for the development. Platinum would have needed to find another publisher, and frankly no third-party publisher would do and MS wouldn't do it either. It would have to be Nintendo or Sony, and while Sony might have considered it it's not likely.

Anyway, go make your internet petition.

Games which dun sell on a particular platform usually are released on other platforms. I am holding my breath.

When it's Nintendo funding the project, it's Nintendo's entitlement over the game and who it belongs to (them). Unless Nintendo out of the blue decided to sell off the rights to Bayonetta, the likeliness of it ever legally coming to PC is pretty much never. Of all Nintendo games that never sold well, I can't quite remember many of them being sold off over such a shortcoming.

It won't happen. Bayonetta 3 is under Nintendo's financial control. They literally make the decision where it stays or goes, not Platinum.

The Wii-U situation was stupid, because nobody cared to have a Wii-U. At least there will be reasonable numbers of people able to play it on Switch. If they are going to fund Bayo 3,makes sense to keep the rights to 1 and 2 and make all 3 available on Switch.

The Switch is on pace to have more AAA exclusives than PS4 and X1 combined. Crazy.
