PS5 right now is probably the most hyped hardware of the year, no surprise.

55-45 in favor of the Xbox brand though. Considering there are 10x more PS fans, it’s safe to say the Xbox brand has the better controllers.

Also, PS controllers all suck beside the PS4 so the Xbox controllers cannibalize each other’s votes.

The Xbox controllers, which have barely changed since the 360, have 55.8% of the vote there bud. The only PS controller even worthy of the list at all is the DS4, so PS fans obviously picked that, skewing the percentages.

The PS1 controller was bad. The PS2 controller was serviceable. The PS3 controller was abysmal. And the PS4 controller is pretty good (except for battery life), hence the vote.

Meanwhile, all the Xbox controllers have been good to excellent, thus the vote spread.

Critical thinking is haaaaaaaaaaarrrrrddd.

The DS4 is a piece of shit. Stupid light, terrible battery, spongy triggers and shit quality rubber on the analogs. Cows so hard up for a win they now resorting to old controllers to try and make Sony sound relevant. 9.2TF hitting them pretty hard.

Anyway Xbox One is my all time favourite controller regardless of if it wins popularity votes or not. Must suck for those who constantly need reassurance about the things they use.

Ps4 has the controller the best IMO, but there isnt a standard controller out there that sucks at the moment. Ok, the joy cons suck pretty hard, but at least the Pro controller is damn good.

well this is a dumb thread for a few reasons

1. A person thinking an IGN poll is scientific

2. They have two XB1 controllers listed which combined beat the PS4 controller

3. The picture shows a PS5 controller for sure and possibly a XSX one

As far as controllers go there I find symmetrical hand placement to be key, regardless of joystick locations. For a game that requires two analog sticks, the XBO controller cramps my hand and is rather uncomfortable for the most part. PS4 is way more comfortable and better for FPS, or third person titles with a full analog camera.

However, games that use one joystick plus the face buttons I find the XBO controller to be much more comfortable for long term use. Games like Rocket League, Forza, etc are better on an XBO controller.

Now, if we go into additional features of the two controllers, I can say I absolutely hate the stupid removable grips on the XBO as they don't fit tightly, causing the controller to creak and flex. But also there isn't much texture on the default ones, so there's only one way you can really hold the grip without it sliding. PS4 controller also gives you the option of the touchpad, and motion controls. Which actually come in handier on PC, in something like Steam where you can actually use and remap those features.

If you want a symmetrical controller for the reasons stated above, go for the PS4. If you want an asymmetrical controller for the reasons stated above, TBH, the Switch Pro controller is better than the XBO.

I'm more impressed with Xbox as a challenger. Looks like decent numbers to me.

Useless poll as it uses an unscientific methodology like most online polls. Be skeptical of polls released to the public especially those funded by media outlets, non-profit organizations, or colleges/universities.

Okay, I understand that the XB1 sold very poorly this gen ( came in 3rd place :( ), but we should all come together and celebrate the best Controller ever made (DS4) and rejoice.
