Are you trying to pretend Dishonored 2 wasn't the best game of the year for playstation or did I misunderstand? Maybe something to do with the exclusives or some other nonsensical argument? I'm elderly (42 years old) and need more information. Videos of people laughing is over my head because I am not a millennial.

Why is this surprising? Its IGN we're talking about. All these overwatch awards remind me of 09 when MW2 kept winning awards but it was a shitty ass game (Overwatch is nowhere near a bad game, tho. But at the same time, it is not worth all of the praise its been getting) with a huge marketing budget. These sites sure enjoy the ads revenue... Later this year, Overwatch praise will be derived to Destiny 2, watch.

Doesn't IGN have teams for each platform? Could be that they had different people vote for each platform and thus there's different results. Or, there's no logic and GOTY awards are stupid.

Having played both I'd say there is no comparison between the two. Except that both are made by the same publisher and both are played from a first person perspective.

Were you guys expecting Uncharted 4 to be PS4 GOTY? I'm sorry but as much as how good the environment, storytelling, graphics is, the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. Uncharted being a wall-simulation joke also has some truth to it.

I haven't played dishonored 1 or 2 but I hear 2 is a great game. It's just an opinion, people shouldn't get butthurt about it. I mean the best PC game and Xbox game are multiplats as well. Why is PS4 special in this case.

I know I hit refresh when I first saw Inside for XOne, I thought I was on the wrong page or something lol. Anyways, their choices they are trying to highlight some of the less talked about games maybe, from the last few months I mean.

Finaly no Uncharted, so many other games being better including Dishonered lol.

The lack of Total War Warhammer getting PC awards further proves how much trash the video game news/review industry is. Then add Overwatch which is a broken mess that was released with 9 maps and 2 modes is a FRAKING RIPOFF, "oh but it had 24 characters!!!!"....I don't give a *****, when a MP game is released with only 9 maps and 2 modes that's a fraking scam, I don't care if it's made by Blizzard I want a decent selection of MP maps and modes.

With the metric **** loads of FPS games that were released in 2016 it's a damn disgrace that multiple FPS games that were actually better than Overwatch got passed over like for example

FPS that had better MP- Titanfall 2 and BF1

FPS that had SP that was pretty decent to awesome- Doom, SW2, Dishonored 2

You have 5 FPS that were off the bat just as good if not better than Overwatch, but no they aren't made by Blizzard.

DOOM was refreshing. It's ironic how 15 years ago, we were tired of games like DOOM and Call of Duty and Crysis were fresh and exciting. Fast forward and DOOM is just like the original and somehow feels new? That's how much garbage has stunk up the shooter scene since the early 2000's.

Not chocked, Dishonored 2 is a better game than any PS4 exclusive.

i'm currently playing it and i cannot think of a single fps that i've played since Bioshock 2 that i had this much fun in. In fact, i'm enjoying it so much that i think i'll grab Quake 1 and 2 since i've never beaten them. I want them to reboot Quake and make it EXACTLY like Doom 2016 (but f*ck the boring/ugly cyborgs we had in Quake 4. Give me fun to kill creatures like the new doom has).

So, Overwatch game of the year across all platforms yet Dishonored 2 is the best PS4 game... ?

it's laughable that a game with such rampant performance issues like dishonored 2 is winning awards. the game won GOTY from fuckin PCGamer. it's like giving arkham knight and AC unity recognition.

When you see that the Wii U GOTY was Paper Mario Color Splash, you know it had a shitty year. Also, even though I haven't played it yet, I'm glad to see Overwatch win. I'll definitely be picking it up should it come to the Switch or I get a PS4 this year.
