IF Half-Life Episode 3 is at e3, will it eclipse all other shooters?

I would think so. Orange Box was such a huge success, not to mention that the bang Episode 2 finished on *one of the saddest moments in gaming history, and surprising*.

An announcement link that I think could overshadow all other shooters. Thoughts? Excitement over the possibility?

Unless Crysis 2 is announced, then iall wet my pants.

If Half Life 2 Ep. 3 gets announced I expect every PC gamer to shed a tear of joy. Nothing less. I know I will.

All of the games mentioned in this thread win, but half life 2 episode 3 is definitely top of my list.

I want to say yes. :P No actually, but you may enjoy it. Shooting scenes are great, wtih some good puzzle elements, and you really feel like you're part of the game.

Watch the reviews. Orange Box comes with Half-life2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2 for regular price *5 games in 1*. Worth a purchase.

I will definitly check it out, I've always heard talk about Half Life yet never played or knew anyone who has played it. I hate missing out:P

I look forward to playing it as I've played all the others but I'm not MAD about the series. I don't care for the characters, "puzzles" and DEFINTELY not the horrid vehicle sections but overall, it's always an enjoyable experience and from what I remember, EP3 may feature snowy terrain which is good news.

It wouldn't top ODST/Halo's, Bioshock or MGS games on any of my lists though.

modern warfare 2 would probably steal the show either that or halo odst

yeah i agree, the amount of hours you can get out of the orange box is insane, and for me personally on the 360 the achievements are good too with adds even more

Episode 2's ending was more maddening than sad.

I can agree that they really messed up the episodic content thing but thats not reason not to care about HL2

HL2 Episode 2 as long as it took to come out, and as short as it was, was just amazing well designed and polished.

I really don't mind waiting if the end product is solid as a rock.
