I would not. There are other games though and I am sure you will get suggestions in this thread.

Im not sure if the games will do it to the degree that you want. There are many games online that can give your brain a workout.

A good game that also works out your brain is LaunchBall. It is nothing like brain age at all , but it is fun.

I think you are wrong and would play it and here is why. I to am NOT a fan of handhelds. I got a gameboy and never touched it. I got a gameboy color and never played it. I got a gameboy advance and never played it. Then, yes then I got a DS Lite. And man I play that thing all the time. It is the first handheld that kept my attention for more than 10 minutes in it's life. I don't care for the games you listed, but to each their own. But I really believe you would be like me and this would be the first handheld that you actually played. I think it is the fact that I finally have 3D games in my hand that have some depth to them. Also the controls are awesome. The touch screen doesn't seem like anything really special until you actually own the console and use the screen for a few different games. Like FPS games? The DS has the best controls for FPS next to keyboard/mouse.

you may get it for those games, but you'll keep it for New Super Mario Bros, Zelda, Ace Attourney, Elite Beat Agents and Advance Wars. 8)

You should first look into training your brain to not fall for marketing.

Personally I though handhelds where childish, but after getting a RROD on my 360 (/cry) I bought a PsP slim,MGS PO and Puzzle Quest and I have to say I'll never dis a console ever again...unless its the PC.
