Hello friends,

So this year without E3 we got summer of gaming event. and more and more conferences. but the thing is. each and every confernece. 99.9% of materials are fillers, more and more indie games they show instead of actual games peoples care. and worst is we have to wait for weeks to 2 weeks for announcement and trailers. while in E3 days we have to sit for 1 hour conference and can see everything bad and good etc.

we should have gotten proper digital event instead of summer of gaming which runs for entire month yet nothing good coming from them.

anyone else in same boat? we rather have E3? lets discuss

I miss E3, it’s just not the same without the live audience. The Keanu Reeves reveal last year was just so awesome because you had that live audience reaction.

The biggest gaming event,in the world focused on new games and new trailers for already announced titles, and hardware reveals.....what’s not to like?

Is it still the “in” thing to hate on E3?

That’s a bit like a football fan not being interested in the World Cup Or a American football fan hating the super bowl

HAH

Gamers disliking a gaming event, showing games

Priceless

The PS5 event was great. The PC gaming show was terrible. So much for the "master race" (womp womp).

No E3 this year, no gamescom, ...

Plus I think a lot of games and game announcements got delayed this year that we just don't know about.

The PC gaming event is coming next month. i mean microsoft event is real PC gaming event.

I don't. It's just a conference to showboat trailers and outdated consoles. And even then, most of the trailers aren't representative of what you're getting.

I personally don't care if E3 was going to happen or not. Before Covid-19, E3 was losing some important people, including Sony and it would have made E3 useless at the end. I now prefer gaming companies just doing their own thing now and it makes it easier to focus and Sony/MS/Nintendo are now doing a live stream and that's the way to go I think.

Overall, blame Covid-19 and I don't see how E3 will ever recover if they can make it next year cause it seems every major gaming company would rather save their money and do it their own way by streaming. E3 was only fun when social media wasn't a thing but here we are now.

Sony told us we no longer enjoy E3, then all media as vassals to Sony as they are decided Sony was right.

Funny enough most media that was celebrating the end of E3 one year ago now that it became a reality is actually complaining.

I think the Sony show the other day was better than any of the individual company E3 showings I've seen in ages. Maybe when you collapse across all of the stage shows and their collective announcements there's more to like... but that's days of fluff to sift through. We'll get the same info now in compact packages

E3 was awesome, but I still think something like that will come back.. whether it's E3 itself or something new I have no idea, but it just made too much sense. On that note... damn.. sad to see it go.
