I am thinking of buying a PS4 for Persona 5, is there anything else worth playing on the system?

I can get a brand new PS4 with games bundled in for $200 on black friday. I already own a PC, Switch and Xbox One X so the only thing that tempts me to buy a PS4 is Persona 5.

I was wondering since I keep hearing about all of these amazing exclusives, if there is anything else absolutely must play on the PS4 that will make it worth the $200 because that's a lot to just play one game?

I really don't like first person shooters. I am ok with first person games but not shooters. I love RPGs and open world games. For example BOTW, Witcher, Skyrim, GTA5, Red Dead Redemption, Dark Souls and just anything open world with role playing elements. I don't think I would like Uncharted because it just looks like a third person shooter with a stupid story. I could be wrong but this doesn't seem to be the type of game I would enjoy.

The last of US seems a bit interesting to me and if it is maybe the sequel would be nice. But I am not sure how much atmospheric open world RPG it is vs running and gunning brainless shooter. God of War seems interesting but maybe I am just looking at the graphics. Again, not sure I want to be mashing buttons to get to the next cutscene. Not sure if I am completely wrong, if I am someone please set me straight. I am open minded and not a hater. I just have my preferred style of games that I enjoy and they are not frantic twitch shooters or QTE story games with climbing elements.

I obviously will never buy multiplats on this console because I can get them on the Xbox One X and PC which will look and perform much better. Especially with Microsoft's play anywhere on select games. I also have the option of getting them on the Switch and then I have the option to go portable.

I am not considering buying the PS4 Pro because the graphics are about the same as the regular PS4 and again I just want to play one game and I don't even think that game is patched for the Pro.

TLDR; I like atmospheric RPGs and open world games with RPG elements. I hate frantic brainless first person shooters. Is there anything on the PS4 worth buying other than Persona 5 for me that has me really tempted?

I would recommend the Uncharted series as I really quite enjoyed them. Last of us if probably one of my favorite games of all time. The online is really underrated as well as I feel as if I spent more online in that game as I have in a game in quite some time.. God of War is pretty good if you like hack and slash. As someone who use to only have a PS4 until I built my PC last year, I chose it because of the exclusives. MS games such as Halo doesn't really have the appeal it use to have on me when I was younger. I generally don't touch my PS4 anymore either unless it is for exclusives but I have enjoyed those games on the PS4 more than any game here recently. I generally am a typical PS4 owner that likes their games because I like they way they play but I need something to draw me in story wise as well.

Horizon ZD is a must.

Isn't horizon zero dawn an open world game with rpg elements? Just my thought.

If it weren't for Persona 5 I'd of probably held off longer getting a PS4, but yes, most likely there's more stuff you'll like, depending on what you are into. PS4 has console exclusives also on PC, so if you have a gaming PC then there might be less to recommend.

I wouldn't write off story games, Until Dawn was enjoyable and they re-released Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit is coming. I much prefer story driven games like this than action adventures that use QTEs to make cutscenes less cutsceney.

It's been a Bloodborne/Nioh box for me for the most part.

But as for your TLDR, yeah Bloodborne. Very atmospheric and moody game.

Yakuza series are great. Semi open world with beat them up and rpg elements. Also horizon zero dawn is awesome.

Well since there is over 1600 games available, including most recent Gen 8 AAAAE excluive, its really up to and what type of immersion you want.

Final fantasy XII, Odin Sphere and Valkyria Chronicles; all of them remakes but awesome games nonetheless.

Since you like Dark Souls, Bloodborne is a must have and you might want to check out Horizon or maybe Infamous if that's your thing. Most Ps4 exclusive RPGs are niche JRPGs, that sooner or later make it to Pc.
