How will the economy affect next Gen

With the lockdown still in place for many countries I don't think it has hit the majority how bad the economic fallout will be. Do you guys feel this will push the gaming market further away especially next gen when people will be more worried about job stability than spending money on that next gen console

Yeah hard to say. Uncertainty is already making people tighten the belt on unnecessary purchases. But then again, gaming can be a relatively cheap form of entertainment in the comfort of your own home. Personally I'm buying and playing way more games than usual.

Depends on how bad things get I suppose.

Gamepass subscriptions will go through the roof and Sony/Nintendo will be forced to launch competing services.

Some industries do well in times like this, others not so much. Gaming is one of those industries that I think will do well. People need that escapism and entertainment.
