How much you rate Xbox performance this gen?

7/10 for the Forza Horizon series alone from me... Would be a 4 or worse without it. Horzon 4 is one of my favourite racing games of all time.

I actually hate that I could not find anything that I really wanted on X-box this generation. I only ended up with (and loving very much) Killer Instinct.

For the first time ever, I bought a system and only ended up with ONE game. So I will most likely not be getting the next X-box as it has no value for me as Killer Instinct is now on PC.

I'm not a Microsoft hater, so it really sucks that it went that badly for them in my eyes.

You couldn't have just asked us what we thought of their Xbox performance and left it at that? Did you really have to go into a whole paragraph of how Xbox sucked compared to everyone else this gen? Cows man.

but to answer your question, I voted 6/10.

Pros: 4k gaming, Elite Controller, and Gamepass

Cons: comparatively small amount of good exclusives.

Most of that was legit the start of the gen lol. The first 3 were changed rather quickly.

Also, I know the Xbox One has limited exclusives, and most are bad, but are you implying the Xbox 360 and Xbox had bad exclusives?

This is how I would rate the generation

WIIU - 6 (Had some great exclusives, but shit 3rd party, networking, and services)

Xbox One - 8 (Services is what saved it, if it was not for that then a 7. Microsoft really needs to up their game with exclusives this next gen.)

PS4 - 9 (Great exclusives, but the services were a little bit of a let down)

Switch - 9 (Game changer for mobility, great exclusives, and better 3rd party support still needs better services)

I thought you and I were done talking and yet here you are replaying to me again in this thread but this however tells me:

A whopping 6/10, started out utter garbage, still lacks quality exclusives, but One X is the most powerful gaming console and comes with a 4K/HDR blu-ray player. Unlike the PS4 Pro, which is an utter crap product tbh. Why bother releasing a console that is only 2 times faster than the o.g. PS4 and then NOT include a 4K/HDR player? the One X is at least 4 times more powerful than the One.

5/10 start strong got way weaker over time.

I mean, the Xbox One took 5 years after launch to get meaningful exclusives. I know there's a saying that goes "Better late than never", but A: I don't think arcade style lightgun games is something that even should be exclusive in the first place, and B: 5 years worth of damage to the Xbox brand is a lot.

Not dead, but definitely crappy.

Had to settle voting 10/10 since 11/10 wasn't available. :P

@boxrekt: Big Buck Hunter Arcade and Voyage of the Dead, the launch titles for PDP's lightgun accessory for Xbox One.

Can't say i'm all too fond of the former though the fact that every second pub and bar has that game probably says they're doing something right.

Voyage of the Dead seems to be an original title made specifically for the lightgun accessory, and gameplay footage from nerd conventions seem to suggest that the game has some sort of a class system, which makes me wonder how that would work in a lightgun game.

I'd give them a 7.

Pro's:

1. Made Backwards compatibility a standard again.

2. Xbox one X is a great peace of hardware.

3. Love the pro style controller

Cons:

1. First party games have been pretty bad

2. Made the Xbox console irrelevant if you own a PC.

3. The launch XB1 was weak/expensive and focused on the Kinect.

5/10, max. I need exclusives and they don't offer any. The hardware itself I liked and had no issues with, even the OG x1.
