How much did microsoft let you down this gen?

Maybe redirect this thread to the X1 specifically as that gen is nearly done. Then you would have something to discuss.

Good thread. Personally, I have no expectations for Microsoft at this point so they can't let me down. I expect nothing from them and they always deliver nothing. When we look back on this gen in 5 or 6 years I predict that they will once again have published nothing of worth that isn't cars going around a track. Bethesda will need to do all the heavy lifting for them because their other studios are generally worthless.

Then why do farm bing points for GamePass? 🤔

There is an option for barely let me down. Was Microsoft perfect?

I'm still in therapy for what they did to me last gen with the Xbone.

No letdown. Not too interested in their IPs to begin with. If they do happen to drop something I like, PC.

Only potential issue I can see is if they somehow mishandle Bethesda. Even then, only really care about id. Minor interest in Tango.

They didn't as they're doing exactly what I expected: being mediocre. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I litterally just scored a Xbox seX on US amazon somehow. 1st MS console since my 360 red ringed.

Just wanted a gamepass system for my new TV in living room. No one has let me down yet.... but there is still time.

I think this gen won't be as bad as last gen. Last gen was a total joke for the Xbox One

With them owning bethesda. they are now king.

Interesting poll results early on. It looks like the majority of SW believes the XSX/S are total failures. I would have to agree.

People were willing to make excuses and rock with Xbox through a WHOLE first year of not having first party exclusives. I don't think you can actually get them to care.

They helped restore my faith in the corporate game complex a tiny bit, actually. It's been depressing seeing a lot of AAA development and the whole console war fight going on, but Game Pass is great, and we got a new MS Flight Simulator.

Lol. You'd have to be pretty naive to be let down by MS, Sony, Nintendo, or any major corp in this industry.

It's almost like you are implying that a person would tie their happiness to a company, which would be pretty darn sad - even for System Wars.

Brought back Flight Sim, Age of Empires and is investing in First and second party game support again.

Almost wiped away the terrible stain that was Don Mattrick.

MS didn't let me down at all. In fact they got me up. Sony on the other hand, they let me down a LOT. Throwing a few features hardware wise doesn't make up for no good games this gen and no exclusives anytime soon on the PS5. I hope Sony turns the ship around, but the forecast for the next few years looks like rough seas :(

Was going to say they haven’t let me down at all, their new systems are pretty ace, lots of great games to look forward to, and Game Pass is absolutely rockin’ it. However I did realize that there’s no new Killer Instinct, no new Lost Odyssey, no new Banjo and Kazooie games. So I’m a little disappointed in that but I live. 😅

y'all try way too hard to discredit xbox. Microsoft is doing great this gen.

When you getting that 4k tv? i'd suggest going oled.

I agree with this statement. This is way too early asking if Xbox Series X/MS really deliver the promise to gamers and as such, if the question was about Xbox One, then we got a legit thread.
