Poll How many RPG's do you play in a year? (41 votes)

0 - RPG's suck. 12%
1-2 39%
3-4 32%
5 or more 17%

RPG's can be a huge time sink which can make it tough to play other games. I still enjoy them though. I think right now I play about 3-4 a year which I consider a lot. I tend to have too many JRPG's. How about you, SW?

Probably 3 to 4 but hard to say because there’s probably been some years where not many have come out. I do love the genre though and try to play as many that catch my interest as I can.

0. because in my opinion its by far worst gaming genre ever. literally only genre that cannot do gameplay mechanics right. only good RPGs were Deus Ex and System shock. and thats it.

1-2. I usually play JRPG's and it requires a lot of time to grind, especially making an effort to play games after work.

I'm a huge RPG fan, but would pin my number as 2-3 a year. Playing more in the same year is no short task considering the time needed to get into them... and that's before going into replays to explore other class builds and story paths.

When it comes to RPG's i'd say maybe 1 or 2 a year, but when it comes to racing games i'd say at least 1 a month :)

If PUBG is an RPG, then just that one

What - it’s got levels, customization, and a deep story (kill or be killed).

Probably not tomorrow, but later in the year as it just doesn't look right as a spiritual successor to Burnout.

I dunno what to consider RPGs anymore. Right now going through dark souls trilogy so that's gonna be 3 this year.

I agree with this as games like Mass Effect etc are classed as RPG's when they're clearly not. The gaming media has muddied the waters when it comes to game genres these days.

Depends on what you classify as RPG anymore. Tradition rpgs like say Final Fantasy series, I play next to zero a year. I don't have the time to invest in a game like that.

I voted 1 or 2 but I play more.

I can’t stand JRPG’s anymore. Most of them have too much grinding. It really sours the experience for me.

WRPG’s tend to have better balancing and I can beat them quicker. They are more fun.

Lots of games these days are huge time commitments, not just RPGs. Almost any open world title or game built for online is going to suck up as much time.

I used to play quite a few of them a year, but nowadays I'm kinda turned off by them (well the really lengthy ones anyway). From now on, if I do play an RPG, it'd have to be one that isn't a billion hours long (like a lot of them are).
