Nah, I have a PC and only game on the one screen, so it's not necessary.
Notice how it says, people that own a ps5.
I don't know what was in my head when I told myself I'd be satisfied with just a PS5. That lasted 3.5 months and I caved and got a Series X too.
No regrets at all.
I upgraded from PS4 because games play better on PS5 and it's a long term investment for next gen.
@sheevpalpamemes: I have both systems as I am manticore extraordinaire 😎

I've been buying Playstation games since 1996. (Also own an Xbox 360).
This gen, I'll be PC gaming on the steam deck, but if somehow I change my mind. I'd actually go for the Xbox Series X.
This gen reminds me of the 7th gen, with Xbox making the right noises, minus the massive hardware failures.
I don't. If I wasn't able to find my GPU, maybe I would have tried to get an Xbox as well as a playstation 5, but I found a new GPU, so I'm all good.
I prefer Playstation IPs, so far nothing on Xbox Series X has convinced me to purchase one anytime soon. Hopefully Halo Infinite turns out good (and runs good) but I will be picking that up on my Xbox One S.
What games does xbox have right now that PS5 doesn't? I know there are a few, but I'm seeing a lot more games on PS5 than xbox.
I'll have both as soon as I can find a SX. The PS5 has been great so far although I prefer the PS4 controller and you can't use it with PS5 games. The triggers and rumble and all of that is cool, but there is definite problems with drift and the shape/size/something just feels off. Not to mention that the tracking of the analog sticks is off as well.. something just isn't right. The analog sticks have some strange jitter and they seem that they are either too precise or not precise enough (not sure which one)... I constantly have issues where holding the sticks in different directions isn't what it translates to in game and those small missteps are easily enough to get you killed in twitch shooters and online games. Also since there isn't a high quality build or a Scuf controller yet you are pretty much stuck with it. It's still a good controller, but I'm just saying.. something is off.
This question is kind of absurd, since you can't really know the answer unless you own both.
I was extremely fortunate to get a PS5...through my wife...who knew a coworker...who had a cousin...who was a scalper...who couldn't get enough for the console, so we ended up paying around 550 for the 500 model. It's seriously insane how hard it it to get one of these things, and it's harming the game sales and goodwill of the customers. The only reason this is even remotely tolerable is because of what crypto-mining has done to PC graphics cards, but it's still ridiculous.
Anyways, I can't imagine being more impressed with the hardware. It's so fast and easy to jump into games, it changes your behavior. It's easier to balance a load of games when you don;t have to wait 3 minutes just to get to the title screen, and if the games use Cards, you can jump directly to a specific level in around 3 seconds. It's crazy how much this improves the experience all around. The controller is by far the best I've ever used. If a game actually uses the unique features, it adds a wonderful and tactile new layer to games. Being able to feel each individual rumble of each little thing, and feel them in actual relation of where I am, and use that to dodge an attack or find a new enemy adds some interesting new layers to gameplay. The 3D audio is also a great experience, and soon will even work with basic TV speakers. It's the kind of thing I hope everyone can experience at some point, just for the fun of it.
I think the PS5 is probably the best PS yet, in terms of tech progression and features, or at least a close second the original PS1. And we have only seen the very 1st iterations of PS5 games, and they are absurdly promising.
I'm very happy with my Serious X and will play all multiplats on it. To me, Returnal, R & C and Demon's Souls aren't day one games or I would have already bought a PS5. Happy with the PS4 Pro right now. If Persona 6 or Dragon Quest XII are PS5 exclusives then I'll have one upon arrival. If not, I can easily wait for iterative hardware before I take the plunge.
Got xbox series x, had a ps5 (now gone), have ps4 and switch, and a mid rangeish pc.
I got series x first, and it's been proven the right decision. All else being equal, gamepass blows away everything sony has right now. Not that the ps5 is a bad system, it's actually really great. People say that there's nothing to play on ps5 but there's still a bunch of indie games you can get, then the big 3rd party titles like resident evil, not to mention the huge library of ps4 games.
Since my bro took the ps5 with him, I haven't exactly missed it. I'm doing fine with the ps4 but eventually I'll pick up a ps5 when the scalping dies down.

No you wouldn't have. They are sold out everywhere.
@sheevpalpamemes:
When the PS5 have a barren remainder of the year, you got to do what you got to do. 😎
When you have had a very decent time compared to it’s competition, it’s ok to let them fell important for the rest of the year. Let’s see what MS will do with it.

I bought two PS5's day one and don't own any of those games and MAYBE I'll get Returnal when it's bargain bin in a year or two. I've told many a PS4 Pro owner not to stress about a PS5, it's simply not worth it right now. The PS5 isn't doing anything that PS4 Pro owners should be like they're missing out on and to get all stressed and worked up about.
