Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Uncharted have an average critic review of 9.0?
Uncharted is technically AAA. Ratchet should have been AAA but thanks to gamespot and its crappy reviews. I think the same thing happened with UT3 also reviewed 9.0 across the board until gamespot at 8.5. (pricks)
Dnt forget all of the multiplats, RB, COD4, OB, BP
Uncharted is only bumped up AAA game, metacritic which is similar to gamerankings also has no PS3 AAA exclusive.
And oh Gamespot is not the only one responsible for Ratchet and Unreal 3 getting less than 9. Both of those games are at like 86 or 87 so obviousaly more reviews had them under 9 than just gamespot.
And personally neither of them deserved AAA especially Unreal 3, which was a butchered Unreal from previous versions.
Now I strongly believe MGS 4 will be the first PS3AAA exclusive. It will deserve it. And it will win GOTY 08.

i dont get how people care so much about scores ..i mean there are tons of games that scored lower than 9 or even 8 that are just awesome and fun to play
Although I personally couldn't care less, I play games, not scores, I do feel compelled to point out that the 360 when it was out as long as the PS3 is today, it only had one AAAe, which was PDZ and one of the most undeserving games to obtain that status.

I agree with you and I think MGS4 will grab AAA status. I could see it scoring an 8.5 though.

No 89.8 is the actual score. 90% is only the rounded up score.
If you want to round up scores sheep can claim TP is AAA on this site when is scored 8.8.
It's 90% because most scores have 2 significant digits, so the average has 2 significant digits. Giving 3 digits is actually inaccurate because you're basically making up more accuracy. If you average 90, 85, 85, you get 87, not 86.66666666666666666666666666666. That's why the huge "90%" appears on the top of the page.
