If they give it the budget the first games had (adjusted for inflation obviously) then I'd be delighted. I don't think shemue fans care which console its on, they just want it.

They could fix tons of things for FF13-2 because they had the Xbox and its space limitations in mind from the very beginning but for FF13: There Is Enough Deleted Content In Final Fantasy XIII To Make Another Game

Bayonetta is a different prospect. It's niche, but the appeal isn't that hard to communicate because it's a flashy action game. You can sell Bayonetta 2 to someone who didn't play Bayonetta, if they're the right kind of person. (Whether Nintendo can sell it is debatable)
Meanwhile the potential audience of Shenmue 3 is almost entirely restricted to people who liked the first game 13 years ago. It's not just niche, it's cult.

I think the Shenmue fans would just be happy to finally get a sequel, whatever system it was on. Shenmue was definately a unique experience for its time, but not my cup o tea.

How is that butthurt? The simple fact is ALMOST NOBODY cares about those games. I'm not judging on Bayonetta alone and as I said before, never even played the first game to begin with, but if Bayonetta had the ultra super duper selling power like SMG 1& 2 or any of the Halo games or even the CoD series, then it's understood.

Nintendo revived Bayonetta 2 SEGA officially cancelled it in May and Nintendo revived Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U.

I can kinda understand why people would be angry.
After supporting the first game, the fans don't recieve it on their platforms. Smart move from Nintendo though, might get some Xbox/ps3 fans on their system
Problem with Shenmue 3 is that it would require a massive budget which I don't think Nintendo would be willing to shell out for such a niche game (the DC original didn't even cover the development expenses).
But it would deff. be a strong game to compete with Sony's Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls.
It could also improve the image of the system in the sense that it wouldn't be viewed as another "kid's toy" amongst the general population (due to having sophisticated games of such calibre).
