I keep hearing how windows 10 will make games run better on x1, or maybe it was dx12? Not sure, but how exactly will it make games run better? Is it because games are developed on it first and then ported to X1, so the information will run smoother on it?

Lets use Fallout 4 for example, I have a feeling it will run better on X1 than on PS4 (might be wrong). But something about Bethesda games, maybe because of last-gen, gives me the feeling that this will be the case this gen as well. Someone who actually knows about these technical things fill me in on this topic.

thanks.

It's Windows 10. Do you know of what you speak when you dare to question Windows 10?

Who are you, who are we even, to question the holy greatness of Win10 for Xbone?

Windows 9 though, yeah, you can question that all you want. I guess Win7 must have eight 9.

well, a new more responsive OS and interface for the X1 should be good

I also hope they improve library management as the current system sucks if you have more than a few games

Directx 12 uses CPU power to connect to the GPU and also makes GPUs more efficient in general so a weaker GPU can do more with it.

Who here has streamed Xbox One games to their PC? I just got done playing Madden 15 on my PC. I look forward to the day when I can play Rocket League on Xbox One.

This feature puts Vita remote play/Playstation TV to shame..... And I own both.

@SolidTy What is the name of the movie in your sig again? I've been itching to watch it but I can't remember the name. It looks like something I would love.

I've always looked at remote play as a different means to play a given game. PC to Xbox One--I don't understand the point. PS4 to Vita, or WiiU on Gamepad--there's actual uses for that.

Except the games that matter, like Splatoon don't offer that option. Being able to stream a version of a XB1 game that performs at twice the framerate is a big deal. My PC can play almost any game at 1440p and 120fps or better. Would I choose the PS4 version of FF VII or the PC version? Hmm

@SolidTy: I'm a HUGE Tony Jaa fan and I feel like The Protector 2 was made for me. Black Dynamite was great as well. Kung Fury looks like it blows both of those movies out of the water in the style category. I'm excited.

@GoldenElementXL: Yes, Jaa is fantastic...it's always nice when a movie releases and it feels like the collaborative effort that went into making the film was entirely set out to please you. I too have seen a few movies that gave that glowing feeling despite the masses loving or hating it.

Same way the cloud, 300 000 private servers, over 5 billion transistors and DX12 made the bone better. In other words it didn't do anything at all.

Games, I'm not sure. But I heard that Windows 10 will open up the seventh core of XB1. But the software side of Windows 10 is very good. Integration with PC, Streaming, cross buy and cross play and a thriving app and game ecosystem for all Win 10 devices including HoloLens

I wonder if they could free up a 0.5gb of dedicated RAM resources for OS and reinvest it into game resources.
