How do you Rank your best to bottom FPS??

Hello friends,

In this thread we are talking about where do we rank our best FPS games.

Rank 1 - Masterpiece

In this category the FPS games are either perfect 10 or almost perfect or close to with few flaws here and there.

for me it include

STALKER SoC, Half life 1/2, Doom (series), FEAR, Riddick EFBB, Deus Ex, Crysis 1, RTCW and System Shock 2.

Rank 2 - Good to Great

These games are less than masterpieces but are great games. more like 8ish games. or low 9s.

Metro Trilogy, COJ Gunslinger, Titanfall 2, Prey, Soldier of fortune, MOH allied assault, Far Cry 2, .

Rank 3 - ok to decent

They are the games that are just ok to decent like 7ish games and they include

Far cry 3, Rage1, COD1/2, Brothers in arms hill 30, Shadow warrior 2013.

Rank 4 - Mediocre to terrible

these games involve some of the worst experience i have ever had in FPS genre and they include

Bioshock Infinite, Wolfenstein 2, any post MW COD, Far cry 4 and 5, Borderlands.

so my friends, this thread is kinda different from typical best and fav thread and here we put our games based on rank which we like most or not.

so how your best FPS rank? lets discuss.

Rank 1 - Masterpiece

Bioshock, Wolfenstein 2, any post MW COD, Far cry 4 and 5, Borderlands.

Rank 2 - Good to Great

Far cry 3, Rage1, COD1/2, Brothers in arms hill 30, Shadow warrior 2013.

Rank 3 - ok to decent

Metro Trilogy, COJ Gunslinger, Titanfall 2, Prey, Soldier of fortune, MOH allied assault, Far Cry 2, .

Rank 4 - Mediocre to terrible

Is it fast, is it run, is their a variety in the fighting style, s, and ... well that's mainly it actually.

Rank 2 - Good to Great Far Cry 3 and 5, Metro Last Light, Wolfenstein the new order, DOOM 2016, SWAT 4, Battlefield Bad Company 2 Bioshock infinite, SuperHot, Dying Light.

Rank 3 - ok to decent Battlefield 3, Prey 2006, Metro 2033, Far Cry 4, Dead Island, Fallout 4.

Rank 4 - Mediocre to terrible F.E.A.R. 2&3, Crysis, 2&3, Call of Duty 4 to present COD games, Left 4 Dead series, Payday series.

I can add to that but I see no need that's enough games to keep people busy for like a year.

Rank 2 - Good to Great

Rank 3 - ok to decent

Ghost Recon 2/Summit Strike, Battlefield 2/Hardline, Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath, Sniper Elite, Area 51, Tron 2.0 Killer App, Pariah, Darkwatch, CoD 2/3

Rank 4 - Mediocre to terrible

XIII, Soldier of Fortune 2, Rainbow Six Lockdown/Critical Hour, Deus Ex Invisible War, Painkiller, Star Wars Republic Commando, Black, Time Splitters, Unreal 2, Titanfall 2

I picked a lot of gen 7 titles because I played the hell out of that generation more than most.

Great: Halo series, Doom(2016), Wolfenstein(new games), Bioshock trilogy, Goldeneye007, Timesplitters trilogy, Resistance, Killzone and a bunch more. I enjoy most FPS games. Most COD games. Crysis.

Trash: Half Life 1&2, old doom/old wolfenstein, Metro series, Fear series.

I feel like 50% of System wars is just trolling Ghost at this point

Yeah but I'm just amazed at how much Ghosts loves talking about FPS.

Well Prey 2017 is a masterpiece. So glad they didn't continue that wack concept from 2006.

Is it just me or do we need way more sci-fi single-player FPS? Right? I wonder what Arkane is working on.

Too many games to list and to bother making a mediocre sections... I think I have left out like at least 10 games or more than should go in those lists. I have been playing FPS games since my dad bought a PC in 96 and played Doom for the first time I was 8 at the time and had only played SNES and Mega Drive and was blow away by Doom and when Quake 2 came out a while later and my jaw dropped when my dad booted that up for the first time and have been hooked to FPS games and PC since.

I'll only include rank 1 and 2

Rank 1 : Far Cry 2, 4 and 5 (Yeah I am a sucker for Far Cry), Borderlands 1 and 2

And rank 2 : Bioshock 1 and 2. Disruptor (it's a PS1 game)
