How diverse will the games be at MSes E3 conference?

I think it will be quite diverse if the last few conferences are anything to go by... Xbox doesn't really focus on a specific genre like Sony does.

I just hope we see at least a few SP-focused games. Like Ori 2.

They need some big budget AAA SP games. If Bleeding Edge is a sign of what to expect then their show will be a laugher.

I’m expecting a wide array of AAA first party games from many genres.

Most of these acquisitions were made in recent years, meaning that the games were likely worked on beforehand. To that effect, I expect a fairly diverse lineup, due to them being under entirely different directions at the time. Going forward, I couldn't tell you.

More of the same shitty games.

I'm expecting most games to be multiplayer, GaaS type games with a few single player gems mixed in. Lets not forget that MS has been building GaaS for years now and that's not going to flip all of a sudden. I also expect a good portion of the conference to be hardware related.

Also going with an even bolder prediction. There will be a new Xbox on the market by the end of this year.

Maybe some new hardware too. Also news about xbox on switch and GP on PC (hopefully switch too)

I don't know. I'm personally expecting a focus on GaaS titles. Deep down, I know MS would rather have something like Fortnite over making robust SP experiences and have them burning out financially like QB or SO. I'm sure they would like to have more games like Minecraft, except building them from the ground up and having them be profitable instead of paying billions to own them when they're already established.

AAAA games priority for me

MS doesn't do SP, hence the shitty sales numbers. They do MP, pew pew and vroom vroom games that appease American gamers, they should probably discontinue Xbox outside of the states.

Multiplayer shit. Microsoft will never nail first party gaming.

Mind you, I'm hoping they will prove me wrong, thoroughly.

They're going to try to repeat the 360 days when they launched a year ahead of PS3. Which a cheap device. Then when Sony launches their $499-599 box it'll be PS3 all over again.

UK loves racing games though. They seem to really like Forza Horizon as well.

They should build a rig and protest outside playground games to release it on PC.

Why do all the games need to be AAA games? All I see from AAA games is too much emphasis on storytelling and too lite on the gameplay.

Because Microsoft's one big glaring weakness is a complete lack of AAA SP games. If they had one God of War or Spider-Man caliber game it would help them more than 100 Ori's could.

@WitIsWisdom: well, the whole point was what is the expectation. That said, it looks like the majority of voters are choosing diverse range of AAA.

Half an hour til show time. Half of System Wars believes they will have a diverse lineup of AAA games, 1/3 believe they will continue to focus on MP and service games. The rest took the blah route.

I guess we will find out soon.
