How BADLY do you want the SNES classic?

I have alerts set up on Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, and slickdeals. I'm hoping Nintendo makes enough this time, but I'm still going to be cautious. Now that everyone is aware of the potential profitability of these systems, it's going to be worse than ever. So the question is SW, how badly do you want the SNES classic? Are you willing to go out of your way for it?

I want it, but I don't need it day 1 or anything. I will probably ask for one for Christmas.

I go to a store every day to see if they have it up for preorder

It's the kind of thing I'll impulse buy if I come across one in a store. Since that's almost guaranteed not to happen, it seems likely that I won't get one

I will buy for the right price, a 100 dollar max. I will never give in for scalpers.

It's my favorite console of all time, but... I don't really want it at all.

I'm not into collectibles, so I'd only be grabbing one for gaming. And it's just not a practical means of playing SNES games. Too limited, without a legit way to buy/add extra roms.

If I just happened to see one at the store for 20 bucks or less I'd probably pick it up. But of course that's not happening.

I would love to have one of those since I have so much found memory of those games and want to play them again but I think it will go the same as with the NES mini ... it will be impossible to buy one.

Not really thinking of getting one straight away. Nintendo re-released SNES games a lot. So it's just not super exciting to me.

I have a wii u. Don't need or want one at all. In fact, I couldn't imagine spending money on that.

Not badly enough to spend hours checking websites/stores for more pre-order allocations.

If I see one in the wild I will buy it, if my wife sees on in the wild she will buy it. I will keep doing so every time I see one, cause I will sell the extra at a horribly marked up price ?

Not at all. All the SNES games are available on PC if I ever want to play them again.

Why to want this when i can have the real deal ?

It wouldn't be the end of the world if I don't get one since I still have my SNES and playing on the original hardware will always be superior to emulation anyway, but this is a cool collectible item and would look good on my shelf next to my NES Mini, so I'm going to put in a reasonable amount of effort to get one just like I did for the NES Mini. I got alerts setup at BestBuy, Walmart, and Amazon; and I will wait in line before GameStop opens on launch day.

With the prices surging, it would just be more beneficial to buy those Nintendo classics on my Wii U or 3DS, or wait for Switch VC to come.

Initially going to pre-order... but decided to opt out as I don't think I would have the time to play it.

As much as I like the general concept... Not at all. It's limited in game selection, and that really hinders a classic like the SNES. That system was almost God-like in terms of games. Hell, I could still find some gems that I haven't played, and we're almost 30 years after the release date.

I have no need for one I have a snes and 60 games.

That said if I didn't a snes already I'd just get a flash cart.

Yeah I do want one though. Never cared for the NES the first time, but the SNES is alright to me.

Was my first gaming console, so it's very nostalgic to me. Still have my original in perfect condition with all my games and boxes.

But something tells me this is going to be a much sought after collectable, so I've got two pre-ordered, which took me a whole five minutes to search and complete.

I will buy it if it's cheap ish and readily available.

Not enough to pay 3 to 4x the original price. Actually, I'd say not much at all anymore. Not after seeing the puny library it has.

My brother works at Best Buy and he's going to secure me at least 5 of them. He helped me get 7 NES Classics so I don't think it'll be much of a problem..

I spend like 2 days refreshing stuff to make sure I get one. I have a very good pre-order now. But I expect it to actually be produced way more than people are expecting. I do think you will have the chance to find one of these in stores at points.

I've downloaded multiple apps and created/reactivated accounts with alerts set up.

And check them sometimes in the morning when I get up.

Because as a kid, all I ever had was a SNES... I played on other people's NES and Genesis, but I probably spend hundreds of hours playing on my SNES.

Then there is the line-up: which is just great, but it's missing Donkey Kong Country 2&3 for me, which would make it a day one buy.

Then there is the price: If it were 80 euro that'd be great, but it's already going for more money.

And worst of all: that Nintendo chose to not include an AC adapter just plain pisses me off. It's such a vital part of any console or electronic, that I think Nintendo are just being way to cheap to not include one.

If I can find one for 80 euro by the end of the year, I'd probably still get one, as I loooooooove the SNES controllers. But if I can't, I won't be too bummed. Too many modern games to play :)

It's cool and all, but I don't really feel like using it. I'd maybe get one just because it's cool, but I don't feel like i need one.

Don't want it, why don't they just re-release the SNES with MP for all games and with an online store where you can buy the whole SNES library if you want? Maybe even let companies create new SNES games? I would be all over that in a heartbeat but this? It's pretty lame for me.

I've pre-ordered mine. But damn it's over priced in my country. If I convert it back to USD, it's $102.64.

@r4gn4rok1 the USB can plug into practically anything and be powered (i.e straight into the USB of the TV, laptop, PC, Wii U USB port, etc.). It doesn't need the extra little piece. If you're honestly desperate for a USB port, you can buy one for really cheap. But in this day and age, I'd be very surprised if this was the case. Excluding the extra piece makes for a very clean package imo. I thought it was really cool when I opened up the NES mini and plugged it straight into my laptop to be powered.

If i wanted play old Nintendo games i could just dust off some old dvd with emulators/roms

I already played those games in the past, I would rather play a throwback game like Sonic Mania, which is like them old games but at least offers a new experience.

If I come across one I'll get it. Otherwise I'm fine missing this.

I'm going to try to get one as best I can, but it won't kill me if I don't.
