How badly do you want the NX?

I WANT to know what the thing is going to be first.

Don't care at the moment. Nintendo has been making shit hardware for well over a decade now. Not really a fan of most their first party games either.

I'm hyped. Though I'd rather like know what it actually is first. Not sure if I'm getting it at launch or not.

Have to know what it is first..if its a handheld...forget it...if its a console with buttonless controller ie fake touchscreen buttons also forget it. :P

The sooner the NX arrives, the sooner we get a new Mario Kart and hopefully Nintendo won't screw up battle mode this time.

Considering all the news about it makes the Sega CD look like a grand device I don't care except for the reaction when it fails too.

It's one of those things that even though you don't care about it it's going to be the device you pay attention to because it'll have the most news about it because of how poorly it's doing.

Like the Wii U, that was awful and set the world's record for zero software released but people paid attention to it because they wanted to see just how much it would fall.

I think the record for lack of software released goes to the Vita. At least Wii U still has a decently large selection at retail stores. Vita has what, one tiny row? Or an end cap at best? Not to mention some of the best games Nintendo has made is on the Wii U with still more to come this year.

Shit hardware, best games. The games are what matters.

Supposedly it is both a home console and handheld system that will be sold separately. I can't lie but I'm actually more interested in the handheld version. Already got my home console do not need or want another one even if it is just as/more powerful than consoles now. I expect to hear an announcement at the latest at E3.

I voted Whenever. If the library ever interests me enough then I'll pick one up, the Wii U library doesn't interest me at all though.

I'd like an Animal Crossing game, Luigi's Mansion game, Pokemon Snap 2, a main series Pokemon game, a Mario Kart game that's better than 8, and a unique 3D Mario. I got most of that from owning a 3DS.

I voted "I dont really care about it". Nintendo has shown nothing and no one knows anything about it. Nothing really to get excited for.

I don't really care. If the WiiU did not get the two platinum games it got, I wouldn't have bought it, and the only thing I really would have missed out on was Splatoon, maybe Smash. The other stuff was good, in very safe predictable ways, and I've played those ips enough times at this point in my life. I want new things from Nintendo, or their old things better continue pushing the envelope.

Ideally this platform is an exclusives machine to me, and yeah I'll take Nintendo's first party on balance over Sony and Microsoft, but at least hte other 2 make more of an effort to get new ips, even if they have to go get a third party team to get it done. With Nintendo? not as much.

My level of anticipation is safely at zero. Well, maybe 1... I'm curious about the thing and that's about it.

I know I'll buy it because damn it, it's going to have Nintendo games. I'm always down for some Nintendo games.

I'd say I need to know more about it, but even after the reveal I doubt I'll be legit excited. They'd have to show some killer fucking exclusives for me to want the system "badly".

I am as excited about NX as someone who received a WII-U last christmas.

Need to see it first and need to see its lineup. After the last 3 crappy Nintendo systems I don't really have much faith in them anymore.

Well I bought Wii U so my standards for Nintendo are quite low(not that it doesn't have great games as it has 4:1 ratio in games vs my ps4, but what it could have been)

So I'll most likely buy NX too, but I'm not super hyped about it before I know what it actually is.

Normally I make sweet love to things so that would be the status quo, but I want this real bad. MS and Sony are boooring. And redundant. So I have zero hype for whatever they are doing and kind of as a result of that I'm very interested in this NX thing and I kinda need it to be good. I want it to be good so bad.

How the hell should I know? I don't know jack about NX, or what games is gonna launch for that matter. Thought my daughter is interested in NX if she wants it at launch, I'll just buy it for her.

When they reveal more about it, my answer will change. But for now, I'll get it whenever.

I want it for the reason that Nintendo's top tier developers will be putting content on it exclusively, but we still know nothing about it.

I need to know more at this point. It could be really awesome or a really big misstep

I've got my savings tin full up with money for the NX, can't wait for Nintendo to reveal the NX to us, Its going to be a beast of a system with Zelda & Mario as launch titles day one for me

I went with Really Badly, because I decided to answer the question more as "how badly do I want to want the NX". Seriously, I've never wanted a console to turn out to be great as much I have with NX. PS4 and X1 have been so boring this, we need the NX to be amazing just to put some life back into gaming again, because Sony and Microsoft are leading it on a path towards death.

How can you want something when you don't know what it is? After Nintendo's last 2 duds for home consoles you would think some people would learn to wait and see what it is first before blowing their load.

Their support for the Wii U even in troubled times makes them like them more.

Consider how WiiU is, next Nintendo generation is about to start and we still have no Zelda game for WiiU. Dont know much about the NX console itself, it feels like it is enough to know it is Nintendo that stands behind it to know it will be a failure with games...

Nintendo's excellent support for the Wii U and 3DS makes me confident that I will be picking up an NX eventually. So it's not a question of do I want the NX- I do. It's more a question of how much I want it- on that count, I refrain from answering until I know what it is.

I'm in agreement. While the Wii U and 3DS may have been duds to some, to me I have been incredibly happy with them. The support Nintendo has given them, and the quality of the games released, makes me confident that I'll love their next system. That could change once we know what it is, but the confidence I have in them easily morphs into the hype to see what they're going to do next.

Since nobody knows what the damn thing is, somewhere between not at all and entirely.

I'm dying to see what it's really about, but since that new Zelda is also coming to Wii U I'm in no hurry buying one.

i dont know any details on it yet so its hard to get that excited.

there is a very high chance i will be getting one at some stage for that nintendo goodness.

but i dont know if i will be up till 4 in the morning after launch all blearly eyed with excitement playing games...or if i will wait a good long time to pick one up (50 bucks for a brand spanking new wiiu...still chuffed with that deal :) ).

I'm a tad (as in really) nervous about it. I voted "really bad", but now I feel like whenever. Hopefully, they will get it right with 3rd parties, but they have been cursed with getting the lower end of the straw for decades. I hope they have given dev kits to all of the Major AAA devs, and after they possibly meet with EA in March, they can meet up with Ubisoft, Bethesda, Rockstar, Warner Bros IE (I SWEAR if Nintendo allows them to make a decent movie about an IP of theirs, WB will allow them to put Scorpion in Smash NX (if that rumor comes true)), and the Japanese companies (I think they already approved the NX (Square confirmed it) and Konami (unless they leave and go mobile). I just hope for the best, and that they will rock the gaming industry.
