Hideo Kojima Can't Wait for L.A. Noire

Hideo Kojima, the respected genius behind theMetal Gear Solidfranchise, tweeted his excitement to play Rockstar's upcomingL.A. Noire.

"It seems that the Japanese release forL.A. Noirehas been set for July 7, tanabata," wrote Kojima. "This is the game that I'm most looking forward to this year. The English version will be released in advance in May. I want to play it soon, but it's a game where you do detective work, so perhaps it would be best if I play it in Japanese. This game will probably change the future of adventure games. Super excited!"

You read that right, Kojima says thatL.A. Noirewill change the future of adventure games. High praise from such a roller in the genre. The game is due out in Japan July 7 for a cost of 7,770 yen (what's with the sevens, Japan?). Which version will Kojima spring for? His patience may be worth it since the game's "The Naked City" scenario is being included as a first print bonus with the Japanese edition.

I can't wait for this game either. I hope it lives up to all the hype.

Not very surprising considering that it's very cinematic like MGS. He's into that stuff :P

As for the most anticipated game of 2011? Meh Rockstar games got stale/flat gameplay for my tastes but excel in other areas so it's not that far fetched I guess.

Exactly, I agree.

Not just hey we respect xx game as ours is influenced by it and such boring & conservative statements, like "sure Miyamoto is a cool dude!" i.e. understatement of the century.

i pray for it to influence him into making a new Snatcher or Policenauts game :P would love to see them revived i love the idea behind them sadly i've never came across a copy of either in the uk partially due to them only being released in the Japanese markets :(

Kojima made one of the greatest console adventure games of all time (according to some fanboys, lol) so this is high praise coming from him. Also, I'm sure he can't wait to see how the facial capture animation works out since facial animation is so important to his games.Timstuff

Meh I'm still not interested all that much in the game.

Just watch this game sell millions now, Kojima knows about quality.
