I've got a PS3 and I'm quite happy with it, but I wanted to expand my game collection and I wanted to get either a Nintendo WII or an Xbox 360.

Yes, because Sony Wand and Wiimote are heaps different from eachother, while Natal is the same as the Sony Wand?PS3/Wii is the best combo in my opinion. PS3 and 360 are too similar to buy both of them.

It all kind of depends on what your looking for.If u get a 360 youll have access to the best online setup available plus a lot of really good exclusives. Then again u could be a fan of nintendo exclusives and there are some good ones for the wii.The wiis biggest problem is that if its not a nintendo exclusive there isnt much else to do with the wii unless u wanna download some of the old classics.Either way im sure youll enjoy what ever u get.

I wasn't even considering the motion controls. Both the Wand and Natal are unproven technologies and it is still unclear if they will be successful or not. What I was trying to get at is that the libraries of the PS3 and the 360 are very similar whereas the one for the Wii is completely different. So if you had a PS3/Wii, you would have the best of both worlds.

ya aside from unreleased gimmicks here at year 4 of this gen the ps3 and 360 are very identical. Wii on the other hand is very diff.
[QUOTE="shoryuken_"]Yes, because Sony Wand and Wiimote are heaps different from eachother, while Natal is the same as the Sony Wand? Since when is this about motion control? Neither the PSWand or Natal are out yet and both will inevitably flop/suck. The point is PS3 and 360 are both HD consoles with similar games and controllers, though the PS3 is miles better. The Wii is a COMPLETELY different experience, with games nothing even close to what you'll find on the PS3. If you have a PS3 and a Wii you have the ultimate gaming combo. You can get Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, inFamous, and Ratchet & Clank, then turn around and play Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime Trilogy/Other M, No More Heroes, and Legend of Zelda. You get the best of both worlds.PS3/Wii is the best combo in my opinion. PS3 and 360 are too similar to buy both of them.

What kind of games do you like ? That'll be the deciding factor for you.
Personally the graphics and the games on the Wii dont appeal to me. What really prevents me from getting a Wii is the fact I can just see that thing will just be siting there not being played for 9/12 months of the year because no games that I like will be released, if you feel the same dont buy a Wii.
On the other hand the 360/PS3 share a lot of games if you dont a have a good gaming PC looking at Mass Effect 2/Splinter Cell/Halo/ Gears of War/Crackdown and Alan Wake and other exclusives might be worth it for you? If u have a gaming PC and a PS3 I think you are pretty much set and dont really need a 360 imo.
There is no reason to buy a 360 if you got a ps3(unless you want to play the exclusives like Fable and Halo)
Wii si your best choice, although I really advice to look at the games on that system because they are not that good and they are not for all tastes
I think you should stick to ur ps3 honestly
I would say look at getting ing to PC gaming. It really isn't that difficult or as expensive as people make it seem. But, if that just isn't your "thing" (a shame if you miss out on what PC gaming has to offer, much more than just better graphics) then go with the Wii. I see no point in owning a 360 if a person already owns a PS3 or a PC. It is still a faulty console, XBox Live is not good (and it costs money), it is so loud, its exclusives are (IMO) horribly lacking, and it doesn't have a bunch of features that the PS3 has, and therefore you already have (Blu Ray, Wifi, free online, a good D pad, and a web browser).
But again, please look at PC gaming, it is just so amazing.
I really love the 360 but It's not an ideal secondary console to go with a PS3. Wii is great and has a ton of cool exclusives, interesting niche titles and, of course, Nintendo's own AAA blockbusters can only be found there. Plus, I think this is the best time to get a Wii. The recent price drop and the promising 2010 line-up (not to mention what's already out) make it a great deal.
Get a Wii. Most of the 360 owners I know play MW2, GTAIV, Assassin's Creed 2, and other Multiplat games :|
Wii - Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Strikers, Super Mario Bros and Zelda. All of which you can get pretty much on a Gamecube. I actually prefer Double Dash to Mario Kart Wii. All I'm saying is you get a slight upgrade on games you've been playing for generations.
360 - Halo 3 and Gears 2 are two worthwhile exclusives, along with many games unavailable on PS3. If you own a PC, however, you can already play most of these games. The 360 is great if you don't have a gaming PC, but if you do, there aren't enough exclusive games to warrant a purchase of the console.
The Wii, as with many gamers such as myself, may end up collecting dust. As a Wii60 owner, I DEFINITELY recommend the 360 over the Wii.
You have a PS3 then there is absolutely no need for a 360, most of 360 games are multiplat, like 90%. Besides the PS3Wii combo is better then a PS360 combo.

hmm... ...marketing isnt your thing. You couldnt sell a console to the richest console-deprived kid in the world, with those serious, objective and unbias arguments of yours.Wii - Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Strikers, Super Mario Bros and Zelda. i got the PS3/360 combo and while happy, i would suggest anyone who has either a 360 or a PS3 to go with the Wii as a second console...
while both great PS3 & 360 share way too much when it comes to games library and Wii offers something different... so imo you should go with Wii..
PS3Wii and Wii60 combos are the ultimate awesomeness. PS3/360 not so much.
It will depend on whether or not you are willing to try out games that do not immediatly appeal to you by cover alone. If all you really want to play are semi-interactive imitations of poorly written blockbuster-effect movies, don't get a Wii.
PC followed by Wii then 360. 360 is great, but you'll get more exclusive stuff on the Wii I'm guessing...

Stop spewing garbage.
While i'd agree with that. The wii is just plain boring when ur by urself. but as a party system, its unlike any other. So if u have parties, the buy the wii for surePS3/Wii is the best combo in my opinion. PS3 and 360 are too similar to buy both of them.
