Have you ever felt betrayed by Microsoft?

After years and years of promising and promising and failing to delivers, it begs the question, have you ever felt angry at Microsoft for betraying and lying to you all over these years? I lost faith at the brand at Xbox one era when it really lost track of what was important in the gaming landscape and it seems they still don't understand it, since they're still failing and are on track to keep failing.

Oh hell yes I bought the original xbox took perfect care of the unit and the drive damaged my discs and I had to send it into Microsoft for repairs took a month without being able to use it to get it back.

I felt betrayed and backstabbed by this company I bought 2 xbox 360’s one red ringed of death and wouldn’t play anything.

My Xbone had a terrible hard drive sound coming from the unit and I had to exchange it.

I’m fed up with their hardware, I’m disgusted by their software lineup. Their Controller’s wasn’t perfect and they aren’t improving it. Original one hurt my hands cause it was so big now they just feel worse than the dual shock and I was forced to buy play and charge kit because it didn’t come with an internal battery.

Yeah I’m done with this damn company.

No but then again I’ve never felt “betrayed” by any company. 🤷‍♂️

PS1 - disk reading problems, having to play with the console up side down.
PS2 - DRE.
PS3 - YLOD.
PS3 - 77 million users credit card info stolen, then sony took a week to inform us in 2011, then again were hacked in 2013 AND 2014.
Vita - says it all.
PSP go - again.

Actually its the opposite. Back in the day I purchased a used xbox 360. After an year, it got the red ring of light. But MS promised they would replace every RROD unit free of charge, even pay for shipping. I wasn't impressed with MS crap hardware but more than that I was really moved by the effort MS put into making me happy. Even though I sent them xbox 360 again and again like 5 times, they still gave me another unit, and paid for the entire shipping. I eventually got tired of doing this so I bought a brand new jasper xbox. But yeah, I still remember how far they went to this day.

My ps3 got a ylod after an update and sony gave me the finger. That shows the difference.

I find it hilarious that people would emotionally invest in a giant corporation to the point that they could feel betrayed.

Yep, it was in the 360 Era when they abandoned gamers and focused on the shitty connect.

Try buying some stock you'll really get emotionally invested.

I do feel betrayed by Microsoft. They promised us the next generation. Reality is, they're still using AA batteries inside their controllers. If that's not betrayal, i don't know what is. Most lems will never admit this, tho.

@lundy86_4: The thread is about Microsoft; not Playstation systems or even "any company". He was triggered enough to have a that kind of response.

To be fair, I don't disagree that Playstation systems have had their issues but that's not what the thread is about.

If you're investing emotionally, you're doing it wrong.

The thread is literally the TC ragging on MS without posting their own gripes. Hence Xantu regarding this as a blog post. @thedork_knight responded within the realm of SW, with a concise point. Debate is not the same as being triggered.

@lundy86_4: I would argue that debate now employs the ridiculous nature and rules of system wars. I would go as far to say the world now runs on system wars mentality as those in their early adulthood grew up on the internet and don't know how to properly deal with their emotions or interact with others. Those that are middle aged have forgotten much of how to properly interact. Essentially, the golden rule no longer exists as people put themselves on pedestals via taught and engrained narcissism.

I can't say I disagree that people can't disconnect actual debate from being "triggered", but that's what you did.

No just disappointed by them, the original Xbox was great still the best console ms delivered to us gamers, x360 had a great start but finished miserably and that’s why I don’t buy Xbox consoles anymore

Obviously we know the levels of fanboyism of both TC and zerothehero and with this poor attempt of feeling aggrieved at the hands of Microsoft, all i did was to show them that whilst their blind loyalty, Sony has probably shat on them more then Microsoft has!!!

my pro was so bad, i had to start playing every game with headphones on due to not always being able to hear the tv.

From reading a couple of lems comments, i can tell that most of them were betrayed, but their loyalty toward MS is so strong that they pretend it never happened. This is not how you live your life, guys. Open up.

Only company I feel "betrayed" me is Sony when they did not immediately disclose that PSN customers info was hacked while they knew full well all that info was out in the wild.

This has real-world consequences whereas MS, Sony or Nintendo disappointing me because I bought into their hype doesn't.
