Has the PS4 had a respectable year exclusive-wise?

Plenty of true exclusives like Horizon+expansion, Yakuza 0/Kiwami, Uncharted:TLL, GT Sport, Everybody's Golf, Gravity Rush 2, Knack 2(lol), Persona 5(PS exclusive), MLB 17

Plenty of console exclusives like Neir Automata, Nioh, Ys 8, Danganronpa V3, Tales of Berseria

Plenty of indie console exclusives like Undertale, Nex Machina, Night in the Woods, Pyre, Hellblade

Past gen remasters like Wipeout, Locoroco, FF12, Kingdom Hearts 1+2, Danganronpa 1+2, Crash Bandicoot

I'd say it did pretty well, let's hope next year is even better

I'm around 90% way through Horizon..... easily game of the year...... Gorilla Games should be given an award for not only crafting an amazing game but for also having the balls to actually attempt a new AAA IP..... Something that Microsoft and Nintendo seem to shy away from and instead focus on rehashes.

For some people's tastes, it obviously has, but for my personal taste, it was nothing special for me.

The only exclusive that I really loved on my PS4 this year was Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and there have been many signs pointing to that game getting released on other platforms next month, so it might not even remain a PS4 exclusive for all of 2017.

Games like Horizon, Persona, and Nier are just not my cup of tea.

I think yes, me personally just played Horizon and it's an ok game, I like it. Been on the fence regarding Nier and Nioh, I'll eventually play both but there's always some game more appealing.

HZD was excellent!

Persona 5 was good but not great. It was ambitious but that doesn't mean quality. It was trying to do a lot of things, but ended up doing a lot of them very poorly and I felt it was very repetitive. A solid 6/10

It's been a fantastic year for Sony and PS4.

I think they had a good year......seems they brought games to people worth playing.

So pretty much PS1 games is the only thing you enjoyed this year on PS4?

It's been a great year, they just got overshadowed by Nintendo a bit.

Technically speaking, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami and Persona 5 shouldn't be listed as "true exclusives", since they're all available on the PS3.

I guess I can't comment on the PS4's actual exclusives, since I didn't play Horizon, Uncharted or the sports games.

It seems like the PS4's best year ever though.

PS4 had an awesome year. Much better than the other 2.

Personaly it was a good year for my PS4. Really liked NieR: Automata (albeit slightly overrated imo) and I'm enjoying Persona 5 atm (half way in)

Still have yet to play Horizon, Nioh, Hellblade and Uncharted :TLL. But I'll definitely will in the future. Some multiplat games like Resident Evil 7 and, to a lesser extent, Mass Effect: Andromeda were pleasant surprises. RE7 especially caught me off guard by how good it was. If you like old school survival horror games RE7 is a must
