Has the game that will be remebered most this gen., already come out?

Almost every gen. of consoles there has been one game that has defined it.*note* I am not listing computers,or the not so main stream consoles due to, who really remebers them??????

First Gen(NES,Atari): Mario Bros

Second Gen(SNES,Sega Genises):Sonic or Zelda

Thrid Gen(N64,Sega Saturn, Playstation): Final Fantasy VII or Zelda:OoT

Fourth Gen.(Nintendo Gamecube, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Xbox): Halo:CE or God of War

Fifth Gen.(Wii,Playstation 3, Xbox 360):??????

And yes, this is the 7th generation.

Gears of War, MGS4, Call of Duty 4 and Super Mario Galaxy will probably be the highlights of this generation.

NES: SMB

SNES/Sega: There was not one memorable game IMO. Meaning one game ahead of the pack. There were too many games for me to single out one or 2.

PSX/Saturn/N64 is a toss up between the 2 TC has

GC/DC/PS2/Xbox: Halo caught me by surprise.

This gen: So far it's been GeoW. I expected it to be great. But I had no idea I would play it more than I do Halo. And all I did on Xbox was play Halo 2 online.

Portal, Spore, and MGS4. Even though Spore hasnt come out yet, it'll be remembered.

Oh and Little Big Planet too imo.

I would say without a doubt Wii Sports is the game that will "define" this generation. It's effected everything. Also for your fourth gen I'd say GTAIII defined that gen more than any other game. As for remembered most Galaxy for sure, and perhaps BioShock, for me anyway.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Portal, Portal, Portal.

I think that each console already have an insignia game, Xbox 360 have GEOW, Wii have Super Mario Galaxy and Sony have MGS4, not to mention some multiplats like COD4 and GTA4.

But, personally i think that this generation is going to be remembered by Spore, SMG, MGS4 and LBP.
