Halo Infinite to be best Halo game?

Hello friends,

So i have been critical of this franchise since its started, even though i found them average but never found them as bad as new wolfenstein games, borderlands, bioshock infinite or any post MW COD. its far better than those. but still they were very overrated and fall flat compare to games like Doom and Half life.

Heres why i believe Halo infinite will be best halo game.

• Its a soft Reboot. means it has to be vastly different than halo 4 and 5. and definitely will be since its not Halo 6. its a soft reboot.
• Its running on new engine that is design for PC. means finally PC version will not feel like afterthough and microsoft nowadays are acknowledging PC, age of empire 4 is around the corner, Halo MCC collection came to steam. its a positive sign of microsoft. although its xbox series but its first time ever running on PC engine.
• Its semi sandbox. not open world but not strictly linear. as some of the best games fall into this.
• It looks more story driven than previous games as we have seen a trailer.
• Bringing fan favorite split screen back.
• Bringing Halo CE style health system back instead of regeneration health which is biggest plus point.

so heres why i think it will be best Halo game.

Well I certainly wouldn’t complain if it ends up being the best Halo game. The previous Halo games have all been great in my opinion though.

why buy new xbox when it will be on PC too?

With the bar so low, yeah it could be.

I'm mostly excited for Halo Infinite myself and I been a fan of the series for decades now, so yeah, I think Infinite will be the best Halo game and while Halo 5 had a really disappointing campaign but best MP, all I really want to see from 343 is to try return what made Halo CE so good, that E3 2019 trailer sure gave me CE nostalgic feel. And I'm also excited Halo is coming back to PC, bonus points goes to MS.

Because PC gaming isn't for everyone and this is coming from a Pro PC gamer. That said, I'm sure Halo Infinite will be a nice launch title for Scarlet and the best thing is, cross-play support both consoles & PC.

@ghosts4ever: There better be playable multiplayer Elites again. Otherwise, YAWN. 343 are racists and I'm not gonna rant about this again. All I'll add is that Elites are the most BADASS ALIENS TO HAVE EVER GRACED THE VIDEO GAME KINGDOM, and yet they get treated like nothing now. F**k Master Chief. I wanna be a bloodthirsty freakin' MONSTER!

If they do bring them back, they need to put in ELITE OPS. Like Spartan Ops, but with Sangheili and missions based on if your character is a Heretic or pro-Covenant. It'd make Halo even more lore-friendly again, not the Call of Duty s**t eye candy that it's been since 4 released.

I highly doubt it but I'd love being surprised.

yeah this. going off everything 343 have done post bungie the odds of them returning to the golden days of the series is low but i'd love to be surprised. i miss the games pre-halo 4

It would have to be better than Halo CE and I just don't see that happening.

Combat Evolved was the only Halo with an amazing 8 to 10hr single player campaign, plus local co-op and an excellent MP component to top it off. It was actually a complete game not leaning on MP to carry everything.

That's a tall order for 343 under the current leadership of MS.

Being better than all the rest however? It has a serious shot at that.

All they really need is a longer dedicated single player to beat all the rest of the other Halos outside of CE.

Halo CE was not that great. it has some of the most repetitive level design. plus library mission was among the worst in gaming history.

This will be better than Halo CE.

We saw a trailer where a man done a bad impression of "Moon" with absolutely no gameplay and and a toddlers Doom Guy.

The only real Doom guy is this one.

pure badass. although Halo guy can speak.

Yet, I replayed Halo CE at lest 30 times on OG xbox.

That's the mark of a fantastically crafted and well designed game. Very VERY few games no todays get multiple play thrus and that's not by accident.

Most games today I make a conscious effort to complete at least one time.

Halo CE was one of the few games you could go back to and play over and over again and still get enjoyment each time you played. It's one of the reasons it's been remastered like a million times.

Same goes for games like MGS2/3, Tetris, Demon's/Dark Souls ect.

Games with a great story coupled with great gameplay tend to age better and get played more often than their counterparts, Halo CE IS one of those games regardless of your criticisms nearly 20 years later.

I played Halo CE on PC long ago. its average game. with average gunplay.

FPS today like Doom and Metro crap all over it.

Last Halo game i played was Halo 4. Solid. Theres been 5, 6, and now Infinite?

I sincerely hope so. I just hope they put as much effort and time into the campaign as the MP (unlike 5), and make a proper SINGLE PLAYER campaign, not one that is designed for co-op.

It pains me to say it, but if Infinite's campaign turns out to be mediocre like 5 was, it could be the last Halo I play (which would be seriously sad for me because Halo is very special to me).

Hopefully it will have a story that i can actually follow.

It would be great to see some lady Spartans in the single player game and multiplayer games as well. Mainly for the multiplayer game.
