Just checked out the campaign trailer and really dug the music accompanying the footage. Does anyone know if it will be used in the actual game or if it'sjust atemp score?

If it is original music, did Halo 1 and 2 have the same type of orchestral arrangement?

Yes it will be in the game at some point. Also yes, They had a good mix of orchestral pieces, choral harmonies, some light rock, sort of "techno instrumentals" and a few "ambient noise tracks." Overall very good stuff, I hope my odd descriptions didn't frighten you away:P

The music is what gives Halo the illusion of being "epic." The one in the trailer is a modified version of the series' main theme.

Yea most likely it will appear in the game halo 1 has a better soundtrack then halo 2 IMO they went all mainstream and rockish in halo 2 with breaking benjamin in MJINOR Mix (halo theme with electric guitar) to me they really dont mix :?

I don't understand what you mean by "illusion".

But yeah, Halo 3's theme is just the main Halo theme. One of the best themes ever, because it fits the series so well. Sythesizers mixed with choir arrangements and I'm loving the elaborate piano in the new version.

There were 12 tracks on Vol:I that had no guitar whatsoever.

The Halo I soundtrack had a track called "Rock Anthem For Saving The World.":P

Also if that's how you like your Halo music you should pick up Vol:II, far better imo than either Vol:I or the Halo I soundtrack.

Although halo 1 wasnt orchestrated like halo 2 was I enjoyed the freshness of the score it really reflected my experience of playing halo for the 1st time. With halo 2 I just felt they added parts some good and some badto great songs.

Wow your statment could of been true if they kept the opera chorus going instead they reverted to cheesy rock music in the middle of the song totally ruining the cinematic feel of the moment. I think it safe to say Halo opening >>>>>>>>>>> GT4 opening :wink:
