GwG September | Earthlock, Ass Creed Chronicles China, Forza Horizon, and Mirror's Edge!

As per the official Xbox thingamajig:

"Play together with Xbox Live Gold. September's Games with Gold lineup for Xbox One includes: Earthlock: Festival of Magic and Assassin's Creed: Chronicles China. For Xbox 360 owners (and through Xbox One backward compatibility), September kicks off with Forza Horizon, followed by Mirror's Edge."

The 360 games are both solid at least, not a terrible month.

Yeah, the xbox one selection is underwhelming, but i do like the 360 selection!

AC: Chronicle games are terribly meh.

Mirror's Edge and (especially) Forza: Horizon are good stuff.

Don forget the additional Free Play Days full retail games they include so often that it's becoming the norm. With both subscriptions at the same price, you're getting more to play on One console.

Earthlock is apparently launching via GWG, so that will save me a purchase for once.

Forza Horizon was a good move just in time to bring in more people for what appears to be the best racing game ever created, Horizon 3.

Good 360 games, terrible Xbone games.

Earthlock... I think I saw some post about that recently. I'll have to take a deeper look at it cause it sounded good! Big ol meh to Assassin's Creed Chronicles, but if there was any way I was going to play it this would surely be it.

And ew Mirror's Edge, but Forza is good. I think I might spend some time with that and actually get into the series.

Hell yes on Forza Horizon! I already own mirrors edge though. On the X1 side I already own AC: Chronicles. Its quite unoriginal and uninspired. Also boring. The Earthlock game though, Im keeping an eye on. I think that could be a bit of a sleeper hit. Overall solid month. Very happy to be able to play Forza Horizon 1.

So it's the original Forza? Mirrors Edge is great.

Well damn, it looks like I'm playing Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China this September! I haven't played an Assassin's Creed since Black Flag on PS4 and that was like almost 3 years ago.

@NathanDrakeSwag: It's pretty much one and the same, as all current 360 GWG titles are supposed to be playable on XOne backwards compatibility.

Don't think they announced it yet for those games, but I remember them confirming that a while back.

You don't even need a 360 you can redeem them from the Net

One of the better months of the year. Im not sure why people are judging Earthlock so quickly when it isnt even out yet. Looks decent enough to me. And I've been interested in these strange side AC games for a while now.

Earthlock is a turn based rpg? I'm guessing the creators love themselves some jrpg, could be neat, visually it's definitely fugly.

Otherwise do not care, either own the other games, or don't want it (Assassin's Creed).

Not a bad line up, but I have Mirrors Edge on every platform it was made available. So the 2nd half of September isn't going to do me favors.

Forza 6 the full game is available to completely play for free with Achievements unlocked thanks to Free Play Days at no additional charge. If you want to play rental type games like these but theirs are last gen games on the other console, you need to pay a fee on top of paying their subscription which will cost the same now.

Well, at least Forza Horizon is cool I guess. What a turrible month.

Don't know about Earthlock, will be checking reviews for that September 1st. I think I'll be letting my Gold run out at the end of the month... but we'll see. Atleast the 360 GWG games will still play for me even if it runs out, I'll have Spelunky, Super Meat Boy, Dead Space, Borderlands, Forza Horizon, Beyond Good and Evil HD, and Mirror's Edge in my backlog atleast.

I've wanted to try those AC games for some time time, now its great I get to for "free".

Too bad I already have Mirror's Edge and AC Chronicles China, but Forza Horizon could be cool depending on BC performance, we'll have to wait and see about that new RPG.

MS are so desperate to diversify xdrones with RPGs but it wont work. Just hurry up and finish Halo.

I'm pretty down to try out FH. I loved the second game and already have FH3 paid off.

Mirror's Edge was pretty good. Nice addition, MS. Hoping September is solid for Sony, too.

You try way too hard dude. The butthurt is real with you it seems. You should apply the cream cainetao11 recommended to Tormented. It'll work with for all those with various degrees of butthurt.

I'm posting FACTS. Games like Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey did TERRIBLE on 360, that's why there are no exclusive RPGs on X1. Most 360 gamers have since moved to PS4 to be rehabilitated. MS need to just focus on Halo, Gears and Forza with the occasional timed exclusive DLC for Fifa.
